Good morning Eds

Any update on the severity of van dykes injury 🤞. I'm not going to talk about VAR or the match yesterday other than I thought we played very well and just didn't get the marginal or in Pickford case clear cut decisions or the result. But the game is gone what worries me the most is how long we will be without our no 4 any update and hopefully good news would be greatly appreciated

Its not looking great to be honest only leaves us with 2 fit centre halves I know Fabinho can play there but i think it was a big mistake not to replace Lovern with a decent upgrade hopefully Van dyke won't miss the whole season.

I know what your saying Ed 2 with regards to Nat Phillips and the youngsters but in all fairness when your team is one of the best in the world you have to have quality back up when you have aspirations of winning the league or champions league every year and I'm afraid the likes of Nat and that don't cut the mustard IMO.

{Ed002's Note - Everyone keeps telling me that the Liverpool players are all world-class? Liverpool should be able to cope with Van Dijk out for a while - the coach decided against adding another Centre Back in the summer and has lots of options available - if none are good enough than that is a failing by the club. Phillips has done well in Germany and has the benefit of being Home Grown. Squad management is poor and Liverpool will go in to the Champions League with a reduced size senior squad - and the same problems will occur next season.}

IMO, No CB's are going to be signed anytime soon so no point asking for what one knows cannot happen. We made the decision to not go for a CB and that is that. No point, rewriting the past. Time to get behind the team and supports whoever is called upon to be CB or GK for that matter cos that is all that matters right now, IMO.

I agree Ed. I'd love to see Phillips get a fair opportunity. In the cup matches that he's played, he looked up to the challenge.

Season is literally doomed after Everton game now. 2 Fit CB's plus the youth, how can we challenge in CL and Prem. So unfortunate, really hope VD and thiago are alright. Especially for thiago after his new move.
