All this team needs is a bit of momentum. Not constant slating of our star players. Everyone loves klopp but moans about the players he picks. To all those moaners, what do you think Jurgen would say to you after reading all you criticism?

He’d probably say. “Get a grip Robbie”.

I agree to a point. He'd leave it at that if he was being polite. Get a grip, that's good jk23.

Robbie, let's stay humble in victory cos that game could have turned on one Adrian or defensive mistake, yeah? We take the win cos a win away at a legendary institution like Ajax in the CL, is nothing to sneeze at.

A good way to start our CL campaign. A great shot of confidence to us all cos we needed that, for sure. And on to the next game. YNWA!

Just heard a cracking stat. Fab has played 5 games as centre half for us and in those games we’ve kept 4 clean sheets. Games include Bayern and Chelsea. For me mom. I’d personally prefer Gomez and Matip to actually play there to free Fab up for his midfield role but it shows we have an outstanding player there who can fill in if and when needed.

A decent win for me. Pity we didn't finish em off but I don't care. 1 0. I thought the boys were good. A lot of slating of players going on. But the player who doesn't look his usual brilliant self is Trent, and no one says a thing. I'm sure he'll get into gear, but he doesn't seem to be looking for crosses or killer passes. I know he's a youngster. I'm not getting on his back, played his part in a clean sheet. I thought (apart from a major flap near the end) that Adrian did okay. Made some saves and kept a well needed clean sheet. Exactly what we needed after losing big v.

I have been saying it for 2 weeks and so have others Trent is way off the pace. Doesn’t look fit to me. He was at fault for Everton’s leveller.

Robbie, Trent like Hendo, were both injured and did not get a preseason so there is your cause right there, IMO. Therefore, it is only normal that he struggles to play with the same level of fitness that he has always played so him struggling fo for is NOTHING new. VVD and Gomez were struggling as well so if you have 3 of you back 4 are not fully fit then what are you expecting, exactly? Come on, guy.

What Klopp did do was to limit his runs up the field hence, letting Robbo do that for the most part. Notice he was more defensively switched on cos he knew he did not have to tire himself going up and down the pitch while clearly, he is struggling for full fitness.

Dropping the defensive line several yards deeper also helped him get on top his opponent a lot sooner than normal. I say, keep the faith and let him play himself into full fitness while Klopp tactically and schematically protects him during this period. Just my take.
