Sorry to ask again eds1
Just making sure I haven’t missed it. Have you done a Darby review?

{Ed001's Note - not yet mate, there has been so much about it, I have been finding difficulty with finding something to say that hasn't been done to death. I don't really just want to add to the general noise, but to find something that people haven't read about a million times already. That's not easy!}

Ok mate no worries. 👍🏻.

{Ed001's Note - I will try and get it done for tomorrow for you.}

22 Oct 2020 21:08:32
Looking forward to it Ed001.

{Ed001's Note - cheers 09.}

Love your match reviews ed001.

{Ed001's Note - thank you Redan. Now I feel bad for taking so long! I did have a good chat with Ed025 about the game just now to double check a few things, always good to get another perspective, so I know what I am going to say now. Just got to finish the news review quickly so I can get it done now!}

Ed, I don't care if you write something that has already been said, you typically say it better anyway, so looking forward to your review.

{Ed001's Note - thank you stone. I really do appreciate that.}

Ed1, I've read loads about that game but nobody offers an opinion like yours, it's unique and I think that's why your reviews are very well thought of.
Alot on the internet are just the same old BS and sometimes I think 'did they even watch the game? ' you know? Looking forward to it mate.

{Ed001's Note - thanks, I am glad people appreciate them. It makes a change from being laughed at when I criticised Pep in his Bayern days for tinkering and overthinking tactically. Now everyone is finally seeing that about Pep, it makes you realise that you do actually see it, rather than just being deluded as no one else saw it at the time!}

Ed, I always thought the same about Pep and I'm sure many others did too. People were so enamored with his style of play instead of looking at his teams from a tactical standpoint. I still stand by my statement that he could have never had the level of success at Liverpool as Klopp with the same circumstances.

{Ed001's Note - I would not have wanted him to be in charge of us. He can only manage when he has a team much better than the rest of the league he is in. City have gone backwards under him and it is little wonder he is considering moving on at the end of the season. If he stays any longer people will realise he was just lucky to inherit a great set of players at Barca, and begin to notice how much worse the team was when he left. Then they will notice the same pattern at Bayern. And now again at City.}

the review is up by the way now: Merseyside Derby review. Sorry forgot to link it in my previous reply.}

Same opinion i have had of Pep since day one, took over Rijkaards Barcelona where he started that team off, he thinks he is clever but the one off games should of suited City in the CL restart but he made terrible choices and cost City, the teams he has played in the cup runs with City have been shocking, he is certainly no Jurgen or Ferguson.

Lol Ed, I bet you even questioned yourself at times mate? Hahaha you know your football, the majority of us on here don't know anywhere near what you know so your opinion is a bloody valid one in my eyes. Keep doing what you're doing, please because we don't get it anywhere else on the internet. Looking forward to reading the review, going to leave it til later when I have more time, cheers mate.

{Ed001's Note - I always question myself mate, it is the only way to be certain you are right is to ask questions of yourself about it. The moment you stop questioning yourself is the time to worry as you will never know it all. A martial arts instructor of mine once said you should never consider yourself an expert, always a student because there is always more to learn.

I hope you enjoy it mate.}

He sounds like a very wise man ed1, I love that kind of attitude. As the old saying goes 'you learn something new everyday' and its true isn't it mate. Keep with that mindset and you can't fail, there's no room in life for failure. Too many people quit when they fail but really should thrive.

BTW, a great review, I read it late on last night, spot on as always, thank you mate and have good day.

{Ed001's Note - cheers mate I really appreciate that. Imo opinion there is no such thing as failure really, you just learn a new way not to do something.}

24 Oct 2020 14:00:57
I completely agree Ed. I wish more people thought the same way mate. Too many people take failing far too hard they don't see a way out and in some cases that can end up as a disaster. You have probably seen it before as have I and I find it quite sad. It comes down to self belief and knowing you can do more, do better no matter what obstacle is in your way you know? It's nothing about being strong or weak, it's about having that mindset to move forward not backwards.

I don't know mate I could go on about this all day long but I'm going far too off subject so I'll leave you be lol. Take care mate.

{Ed001's Note - you are right mate, but you are right, not really the right place for this I guess. Have a great weekend mate.}

24 Oct 2020 15:26:53
Thank you Ed, fingers crossed for the three points tonight, then It'll be a better weekend :) .
