Fabinho is a class CB nothing to worry about.
Even yesterday for the penalty it was outside the box and he got the ball but L-I-A-R got it wrong for a second week running.

{Ed025's Note - yeah hughes,y they all pick on liverpool, i believe it will be discussed in the house of commons this coming week, forget brexit and the pandemic the main issue on everyones mind is the unjust treatment of liverpool by referees, its a scandal i tell ya!!..

Agree2 Disagree0

25 Oct 2020 09:15:24
Ed25, Rival fans are talking about it all over SM so enuff with the "Everyone is picking on Liverpool" schstick as NOT of that is even true.

Also, Chelsea got screwed vs Utd for on the MMA chokehold from Maguire on Azpilicueta and Chelsea fans (and rival fans) are kicking off all over SM about that too, so it is not just Liverpool fans talking. You can be worried about multiple things at the same time.

{Ed025's Note - i get that RM and i agree about maguire, but the difference is that chelsea supporters wont be making a song of dance about it for the next ten years..

Ed025 your the only one mate who is saying that. There are some strange decisions in most games that involves VAR but we have had 3 or 4 go against us in the last 2 games including one that has meant our best defender is out for the season. Please don’t loose sight of the fact that VAR is ruining the game. There is no conspiracy That VAR is against Liverpool but we’ve had the brunt of the decisions go against us it is so blatant to all pundits and ex players and I find it strange how you think everything is so even?

{Ed025's Note - see thats exactly what i mean DTD, you moan about the ones that dont go in your favour and are like dog with a bone, but fail to recognise the ones that go in your favour (like the ones yesterday) mate, by the way most of the pundits that are part of this liverpool love in are ex-reds anyway..

25 Oct 2020 09:22:24
I glad you got the right ed 25, its a conspiracy theory from the eVARton camp.

{Ed025's Note - its nothing to do with everton deiser, its about fairness and ultimately the failure of VAR...oh and the conspiracy against liverpool of course..

25 Oct 2020 09:31:51
We are Liverpool. We like the song and dance. Live with it.

25 Oct 2020 09:46:57
It just feels like that Ed25 because there are so many of us Reds. We only bang on about winning the EPL, PL, WCC and big things like that ;-)

{Ed025's Note - there are a lot of you about brommers thats true, which is why i spend most of my time wearing headphones mate.. :)

Ed025, the handball of robbo wasn’t handball yesterday but would of been at the start of the season when they had that silly interpretation. Luckily it’s back to some form of normality.

As for berge, if it was given as a pen VAR wouldn’t have enough to overturn it and vice versa. Wouldn’t call it a stonewalled or a clear miss by the ref.

As for ours the ref gives a foul and a free kick, no issue with that. The replays show no clear evidence it isn’t a foul so stick with the ref, again no issue. The problem I have is it isn’t a clear pen imo as you can’t tell where the contact was so a free kick just outside would of been fair.

VAR lacks consistency and I think that’s the biggest problem.

{Ed025's Note - VAR is a joke in its present format WYred, but i have to disagree with the robbo incident mate as his hand moved towards the ball, however thats bye the bye and a lot of these things are interpretation anyway..

25 Oct 2020 10:07:55
And a blindfold ed25.

{Ed025's Note - not always deiser, i can see when a defender juggles a ball like medowlark lemon mate.. :)

25 Oct 2020 10:26:44
Ed25, this is where I differ from you based on you response to DTD. You say we complaining about what VAR decisions that go against us and NOT complaining about VAR decisions that go our way. That is just some tribalistic football crap that I am NOT here for, tbh. I am here cos the system overall is completely flawed and it is hurting near every club in the PL right any.

If LFC got a VAR decision that we clearly did NOT deserve then I would be pissed about it too and VAR is not suddenly great cos it screwed up in my favor. That is a weak, dishonest and myopic way of thinking about a topic that affects everyone.

It is the same rubbish we were fed for decades about goal line tech. "Oh, decisions even out" cos we did not have the tech. Really? Then why was it introduced after England got screwed in the WC vs Germany in 2010? Cos it DOES NOT even out and the tech, DOES exist. Sorry. that same argument can no longer be applied to VAR which was created cos AGAIN, decisions no longer evened out.

So my question to you is why are you using an argument (that VAR was supposed to erase) to justify VAR's mistakes? Cheers, mate.

{Ed025's Note - im not justifying anything RM, just pointing out the fact that VAR is flawed as we all know but people will tolerate it to a point if the decisions do not effect their team, i dont believe your one of them actually..peace..

I thought that this season referees would be looking at the monitor more often after all it is the FIRST referee that should make the decision not the FOURTH. What I can't understand is that VAR (and the like) works (most of the time) in every other sport. Another thing that should happen is the clock should be stopped when the is a pause in the play. Even relatively poor sports as Rugby League are able to do that!

25 Oct 2020 10:45:36
Nail on the head there ed025, it’s all interpretations and the game will never be black and white.

Because VAR is technology we expect it to be 100% correct but it’s only as good as the operator.

VAR was brought in to remove clear and obvious mistakes not clear up 50/ 50’s. And it just isn’t achieving that and needs to be reviewed (ironically) .

{Ed025's Note - your dead right WYred, the way things are at the moment there will be allegations of corruption within VAR...and thats all we need mate..

25 Oct 2020 11:03:28
I think we are just getting unlucky with VAR at the minute

Nothing is with or against us it balances out in the end

Yesterday I didn't think fabinho fouled for the peno was a good tackle but one he didn't need to make and he will learn

Salah was offside yesterday and its a pity because what a touch and finish that was

Also allison back made the defence look better again.

25 Oct 2020 11:36:34
Ed25, thanks for your responses to my posts. Sorry for a part of my post saying you were defending VAR's mistakes as that was not my intention. I just wanted to make a much broader point about the issue overall.

Things NEED to change cos it is becoming insufferable watching the game we love, littered with such blatant mistakes happening on a weekly basis. What's even worse is the excuses being given for them by the PGMOL is literally taking the mick and insulting people's intelligence.

For me, This cannot go on any longer cos as you say if it does, people will be calling on the authorities to investigate alleged ref. corruption or match fixing cos well, it looks so blatant that people cannot be blamed for doing so when they see day light robberies in some cases, happening in real time. Peace and Love.

{Ed025's Note - it seem the discussion about games revolves around VAR now and not the football RM, that cant be right mate..

25 Oct 2020 11:49:33
Ed025 wouldn't mind you’re opinion On a few VAR falls then to see how you view things.

Pickford challenge on VVD?

Mane offside for Hendo Goal?

Peno yesterday against Fabinho?

{Ed025's Note - a..sending off no doubt, b...doesent matter if its a mm or a mile offside is offside and timing of when the ball is played crucial, c...contact made on the line with attackers foot so pen..

25 Oct 2020 12:12:05
Forget creating a song and a dance about being hard done by with VAR Ed025. We Liverpool fan can make a whole West End show about it mate. I’ll leave two tickets on the door opening night for u.

{Ed025's Note - cheers bobby, i do enjoy a good farce mate.. :)

25 Oct 2020 12:53:50
Ed25, Spot on. I am not interested in talking about VAR after games cos you know it must have screwed something up or screwed someone out of a decision. Also, Remember what they say: "If after a game all you are talking about is the referee then, you know he must have done a doo-doo".

25 Oct 2020 13:19:49
Ed25, definitely no conspiracy with Liverpool. I am not one of those fans. I actually think they should have had a penalty on another challenger but can’t remember who was involved. We got away with that one so maybe the saying “it balances out in the end” is correct. The Fabinho penalty for me wasn’t a penalty because unless my eyes were deceiving me he got the ball and it was outside the box. In the end 2-1 was a fair result because on another day we could and should have finished a lot more of our chances but Sheffield United played well.

{Ed025's Note - it was actually a decent game i thought alonso mate..

25 Oct 2020 13:04:34
