Ed001 sorry to quiz you on injury's mate, things haven't really been made clear on the potential return of a few players and thought you might have an idea on Thiago, Keita, Fabinho, Matip and also Ox?

{Ed001's Note - Thiago, Matip and Keita were all close to making it yesterday, but failed fitness tests. Fabinho won't be back until after the international break. Ox is out for a while yet.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I feel for the Ox. He’s just not getting the rub of the green. Before his injury he really seemed to find his feet. Last season when he was used he was used in the front 3 just as much as he was in the midfield 3. Since getting injured again he’s seen the signings of Jota and Thiago and the emergence of Jones. I’m not really sure where he is in the pecking order but the 2 signings have moved him down a place in each one.

What about Tsimikas? People forgot about him already?

01 Nov 2020 13:22:45
Tsimikas has little effect on the Ox in midfield or the front 3. Perhaps that’s why he wasn’t mentioned. Or shall I add that Ox’s chances of playing left back for us have also seen him drop down in that pecking order since the signing of Tsimiskas. Plus we signed a young keeper from Brazil so Ox’s chances of playing in goal have also dropped.

Cheers for the reply Ed001 appreciate it mate. Having Thiago, Matip and Keita back hopefully for the CL and then City next weekend seems likely at this stage?

{Ed001's Note - does having Keita back matter? He would be the last player I would pick in this team rght now. Shaqiri has done more in the last few games than Keita has done in his entire Liverpool career.}

01 Nov 2020 14:34:21
Lol, Jk23, looks like you've had some spicy Chicken Tandoori and don't know how to get it out of your system. 😂

Ed01, Shaqiri was certainly effective yesterday, and I was asking myself how it is that he is behind Jones? Wiji too had a good game, which sort of went unnoticed.

01 Nov 2020 15:03:37
🤣 ArAy you know me mate. Only bantering. It’s a tongue in cheek reply. No harm meant. Agree on Jones. He’s a wonderful player with the ball at his feet and is still a kid but his last 2 appearances he’s looked work shy. If that was naby we would be chasing him out of the city with pitch folks.

01 Nov 2020 15:32:43
Ed do u see us trying to ship keita out?

{Ed001's Note - if we could get a decent fee for him, yes. Thiago has shown what he should have been providing and Shaqiri is too. He has a few months to save his Liverpool career now or I really cannot see why Klopp would want to keep him. If he can't step up (or stay fit for that matter) when his place is taken, then he is not a Klopp-type player.}

01 Nov 2020 16:00:17
I don't think he's ever stepped up for us. Gutted I thought we had a real player there.

01 Nov 2020 16:18:38
I'm a bit worried about Ox and his fitness issues. as for Naby he's really no addition to the squad unfortunately lad's.

01 Nov 2020 13:42:27
Good quote about Shaq and Naby Ed001.

01 Nov 2020 16:08:53
Gutted had such I hopes big money too and a absolute flop cheerio naby lad.

01 Nov 2020 16:31:26
Keita has been a massive let down sadly. A costly one at that.

01 Nov 2020 16:48:52
JK I was just questioning the same as the op, do we have any info about Tsimikas? As Klopp said Robertson might be seen as emergency cover for cb and with Tsimikas at lb it might be interesting.

01 Nov 2020 16:57:03
Mart my reply was tongue in cheek. I didn’t mean any offence. I think he’s still injured to be honest. And in fairness yours is a very good point. Klopp hasn’t seemed to mention him for a while. Perhaps he can’t pronounce his surname yet so he’s saving himself the embarrassment.

01 Nov 2020 17:11:11
I think ox liverpool career could be over. I hope not as I love him but to many big injuries I think. Real shame. Fingers crossed he comes back strong. As for keita he is a complete flop unfortunately.

01 Nov 2020 17:42:52
For me Ox epitomizes everything Keita should have been. I'll hold my hands up I was for from convinced when we signed him. But he has always given his all, seems a genuinely popular character and has battled through countless injury setbacks. Keita should take note.

01 Nov 2020 18:59:34
Ye JK, strange. You are right, Klopp hasn't mentioned him at all. Maybe cuz no one asks him about Tsimikas. Tho he's been asked questions like is anyone available, who's injured, how are the boys and etc. Hm?

01 Nov 2020 19:13:46
Mart now you mention it I don’t think he’s actually made a match day squad yet. I know he had a positive test and an injury. Hopefully get to see him soon as Robbo is flying at the mo but will surely need a rest at some point this season like the rest of the lads.

01 Nov 2020 19:50:25
Ox had injury issues in his Arsenal days.

{Ed047's Note - I was glad we offloaded him mate, he had the odd good game for us between injuries, much as he has for you.

01 Nov 2020 20:18:37
JK I'm pretty sure he was on the bench once or twice.

01 Nov 2020 20:19:41
Ed47, that may b true but I would say that he has contributed a lot more to our success and has achieved a lot more here than he did at Arsenal.

01 Nov 2020 20:20:22
Ye after double check, he was on the bench versus Chelsea.

01 Nov 2020 21:27:36
Cheers Mart I honestly thought he hadn’t made a squad 👍.
