So it turns out sakho didn't take performance enhancing drugs like he was accused of and banned for in 2016. Just before the sevilla final. I wonder if we may be due some compensation from WADA? Eds?

My question is, would he have stayed with us if that incident never occurred? I'm sure there were other things that led to him being let go. Off the top of my head I remember him being sent home for being late during a pre-season tour. Was a fan of his though, loved his awkward style of play.

I could never understand the fuss over Lance Armstrong taking drugs. When I rode a bike after doing some shrooms and bit of weed all I did was fall off the damn thing. Fair play to him that he could not only win a race, but the Tour de France as well.

I'll never forget the Dortmund game but Sakho wasnt quite good enough. Remember him interupting klopp during an interview and he wasnt happy. Plus he was an idiot when he played at anfield for palace. Klopp done the right thing.

I thought the case was dismissed in the summer of 2016, so this isn't exactly news? And I doubt it's why Klopp sold him. He came on a pre-season tour with the first team afterwards and was given the no. 3 shirt vacated by Enrique for the season. To me, that suggests that he was in the first team plans until he acted the eejit on said tour?

Whether Sakho would've made a difference in the final or not, who knows? From minute to minute within a game he could play at any level between van Dijk and Traore.

I feel bad for Sakho, incorrectly banned which meant he missed a European final and playing for France in Euro 2016. His career has never really recovered and now he has to play for Crystal Palace.

In the end, in a professional setup (and Klopp's setup is very professional at LFC, ) it's the quality of the footballing ability that decides whether you stay or go, despite the personal failings that many footballers may have. If your name is Messi or Ronaldo, the footballing let's you get away with far more than your average footballer.

Sakho was wrongly accused and suspended. no doubt about it. But I also remember that at that time there was talk of Lovren and Gomez coming into the back 4, and Klopp probably decided that the future potential of those two was greater than what Sakho could produce for us.

Ed025 I was never a fan gave me an heart attack every time he got the ball. Would he have made a difference for the final nobody knows, but it did keep him out of a final something he will probably never get again and if that was me I would be fuming and would be taking legal advice.
