So Gareth South just said that joes injury is because of how many games he’s played and it would have happened anyway if not for England then Liverpool. (Not word for word) If he’s trying to tell us he’s in the red so to speak then why is he even there!
Am no expert so throwing it out there to the eds or anyone in sports science. Could this be true. Is he really pre-empting an injury?

In which case, Southgate is just admitting what a moron he is and should be immediately sacked for putting players into that situation. As for 'it would have happened anyway', that is utter nonsense. Liverpool's sports science and nutrition are light years ahead of England's. It is much more likely Liverpool would have had the sense to rest him, rather than put him through a training session, if he was in need of it.}

That is exactly my thoughts eds. I was kind of “ok players get injured let’s get over it” and now am “ you just admitted it’s you fault you tit” GOD he’s wound me up saying that 🤬.

{Ed001's Note - it is not like it is difficult to just bring players in and put them through a recuperation regime, especially when you are admitting you know they needed one! How is the waistcoated gimp still in a job?}

I think joe has had two major injuries for England and his third was a bad tackle vs Burnley. Now the amount of games he plays for us you’d expect it to be more likely to get the injuries whilst playing with us.
Which backs up what ed001 said, we are miles ahead in terms of science.
Obviously we can’t do anything now and just need to suck it up but it’s frustrating for the lad who has had such bad luck with these injuries.

I'm over in America, so I imagine Kermit running the FA and I know he would cut loose someone who ignores sports science and gets his players hurt. Its not easy being green, but it is his responsibility to make tough decisions.
