Mentality giants. The sheer mental willpower and tenacity of our team is outstanding. People talk about our attacking quality but honestly I think the mentality of our players, front to back, is extraordinary. The winning mentality is definitely what I see in our team - reminds me of past champions like Mourinho's Chelsea and United under Ferguson - ruthless and able to win pretty, win ugly, just get the result by any means. It will be a long, strange season but, with the mental strength we possess, we are well capable of handling it.

Also think Robertson has been outstanding and the embodiment of that mentality - other players have looked tired at times, fatigued, not on the ball - Robertson has looked absolutely up for it every game this season. Guy is playing like a machine - I remember being disappointed when we first signed him, never been more wrong about a player. Beast.

{Ed025's Note - i cant argue with any of that seano, and that comes from the manager which is why hes the best in the game mate..

Got to say the same about Robertson, was shocked when he signed and thought we'd lost our top targets and he was a far down the list backup. A worse error in judgement than thinking Ryan babel was going to be huge!

Totally agree Seano mate. I said in a Liverpool group chat yesterday that the result was a big statement. Now I'm not in anyway saying that the league is over absolutely no way but I was concerned that all the injuries may have effected us mentally. When you have so many key players missing from no matter what team it does leave the other players thinking can we manage without them. Well yesterday I believe that question was answered😁.

Completely agree, Seano.

I think another man who is the embodiment of that mentality is James Milner.34 years of age and stepped up to play in an unfamilair position, and didn't seem to put a foot out of place. From 0 - 90 minutes he just kept running and running and running and running.

Red Sandman.

Milner was excellent in both positions he played. Reckon he still has 2-3 seasons in him. he's near indispensable.

As a Liverpool fan since the 70s, what struck me yesterday was that performance was real old school Liverpool. Solid, professional, at times inspired but no-nonsense.
A performance that Ray Clemence would have recognised and a fitting send-off to the man.

The recruitment has been massive in this. It seems like we are buying players with the right mentality for the team. Players like Milner, Robbo, Hendo and Bobby epitomize the mentality we’re after. Get enough players like that in the dressing room and it rubs off on the others.

I’m doubling down on my original thoughts to our injury crisis. Leaving aside the mentality monsters (they are all doing the club, the fans and themselves unbelievably proud - every last one of of them), as long as Alisson is in goal we will win the league convincingly again. He is now the most important single player in the league, and we are BY FAR the best team in it as well.

The players needed to show up more than ever and they did just that and more.

Guys, I can tell you that the rival fans who were dancing over LFC's proverbial grave before this game due to all the injuries and C. V that had blighted our team b4 the game, are now running scared and they are shivering at the prospect that we appear indestructible and after slaughtering Leicester last night.

Big ups to ED25 cos he is right: This is a testament to the manager that we have who along with his team, don't believe in excuses. Up Da Pool!

{Ed0666's Note - let’s not get too carried away mate we only beat a Leicester team depleted with injuries themselves. I was of the opinion we would successfully defend the title this season and admittedly the injuries to Virgil & Joe made me question that a little. In my opinion we’re only one good centerback away from winning the Prem and I believe Klopp will see to that in January
