whats the plans for milner after this season contract ending, give him another 12 months or keep him as a coach, for me keep him as a player plenty in the tank yet sir.

{Ed002's Note - I don't know if he has any coaching badges but I think it unlikely he will play another season at Liverpool.}

Well I hope things clear up and fans return to give him the final applause his career deserves.
I admit to being underwhelmed by his initial signing, but I was wrong, What a fantastic club servant he has been.

I think he's got another season in him, fingers crossed.

Surely with the budget as tight as it is it would cost more to replace him than keep him for another season or 2. Its not like he is actually showing his age or on a massive decline physically. Unless Milner himself wants to move then i see it make sense to keep him around. After all he's just had a door named after him at the new training ground. If that isn't the pinnacle of a players career then i don't know what is.

I'd give him another season. Pay him what he wants.

Would be almost impossible to buy someone of his experience and mentality.

Massive player for us in the dressing room and on the field.

JK23 I think it would be a case of having to many midfielders in the squad if everyone back from injury and loans it'd be

Henderson, Gini, Thiago, Keita, Ox, Milly, Jones, Fabs, Grujic all fighting for 3 places it makes sense to ease the wage budget all if's and maybes Gini could go Klopp could move Keita on Grujic might not come back but I could see Milly moving for his last season in football to leeds.

If this is his last season I hope he gets a few more high profile games.

I wasn't a big milner fan before we signed him, never been so wrong. Love the way he has played at fb and been brilliant. Played on the lm, and been brilliant. Love the way he battered messi and neymar (sorry but I do) it was brilliant. Love the way he had sterling in his pocket at lb.

He seems a top bloke, if he wants to finish his career at Leeds, that would be fine by me. Guy has earned it.

Oh, and never been so confident of a penalty taker. Deep breath, little run up. Goal. Every time.

I can imagine he will ask to be allowed to move back to Leeds, he has always said he'd like to play for them again would be an excellent player for Biesla's team!

he is a very useful player and can play a number of positions and is a leader in the dressing room, however he will get less and less game time i would assume along with the fact he is on big wages.

{Ed002's Note - I would very much doubt they would be interested in a player his age. Would you want Skrtel back?}

Kloppers you could be right mate but there’s a lot of moving parts involved there.

Wiji - has less than a year to run on his contract. I hope he signs a new one but it’s not a given.
Grujic - I’d be very surprised if after 4 seasons of loans and trying to sell him Klopp decides next season is the one to keep him.
Ox- he played most of his minutes in the front 3 last season so not guaranteed to be playing in midfield and has major injury / fitness issues.
Fab - Klopp might choose to keep him at centre half as we don’t know what the recovery situation is going to be for VVD. I really hope not but again a possibility if funding is not available to buy a centre half.
Hendo- the lad is quality but we know he picks up injuries here and there so he will unlikely feature in every game
Jones - still Young and learning will unlikely feature in most games.
Thiago - quality player and hopefully can remind injury free but another who has had injuries in the past.
Kieta - seems to be one step forward to steps back for him in his Liverpool career and staying fit.

Milner offers what money can’t buy. An experienced good footballer who can not only cover the players above but also both full backs. If he wants to go then go but every time he’s interviewed he looks like he is loving life at the club.

Milner, never injured. Keep him.

(! ) This post has been flagged as false information.

Milner is contracted until the Summer of 2022. He has suggested he wants to get into coaching at Liverpool after this contract.

24 Nov 2020 22:33:12
Milner is 35 in January, fantastic player but how long do people think he can carrying playing at this level for?

25 Nov 2020 05:16:33
Zlatan is 39!
