That lineup was a Carabao Cup team. Disrespectful to the elite competition and got bitten. But Klopps hands are tied now it’s difficult for him to field such a team, he’s probably thinking we’ll go strong vs Ajax when more of the injured players are back ie Thiago and Ox etc.

I took one look at the line up.
That will never work. It was like making a cocktail with the wrong ingredients.

Klopp can't get everything right, but he was way off tonight. Origi is not the match winner of previous times.

Klopp knew he had made a mistake.

The balance and mix was destined not to work. A One off big mistake.
The squad looks like it has depth, but it hasn't.
Just the wrong potion for for the motion.
We will just have to wait for players to be fit and available.
Too many players injured.
Gini has his eye on a move. He won't get one on this form.
Not a year like the last.

3 changes at the back was always going to be risky to say the least, but was Klopp's alternative? Play a full strength team again? Its just unfortunate that we couldn't get the subs on before their first goal, it might have made a difference to the result. Listen we are in a tough spot right now, we need a few bodies back ASAP so we will just have to suck it up until that happens.

We do have a strong squad but you can’t help so many first teamers being injured at the same time. I’d rather wait until after Jan to see where we are for a more sensible view.

If we are within three points of top in PL and still in CL then we are doing fine.

Spot on, Ed. Disrespectful lineup? Pls, people need to spare me the self-righteous rubbish and go somewhere else with that nonsense. Are these people insane? Where have people been for the past weeks with all the injuries we have had? IMO, We earned the right to rest players cos we were and are still in a strong position to qualify and if you did not grasp that before the game then that is your fault.

I am mad we lost too but in the bigger scheme of things, this could become a dead-rubber game if we get a good result vs Ajax and most importantly last night, we came away with no injuries and that to me, is a bigger victory than anything else. Sheesh!
