Hi all, any idea what injury Thiago has?
Cheers.

A sore one!

We are just going to have to be patient as regards to Thiago, he suffered a bad tackle, as soon as he is fit and available he will straight into the first team, and the service to the front line will go up a extra level.

Does anyone have any real knowledge on Thiago (Ed 2, 1?) and why he seems to be out for so long, and is he really close to returning? So keen to seen him on the pitch as he is clearly top quality.

{Ed001's Note - they were giving him a fitness test last week, but he has had a setback or a new injury discovered. The club are keeping it very quiet, which is very easy to do at the moment with the bubbles everyone is in.}

Thanks Ed, let's hope whatever it is that it isn't too serious and doesn't extend his absence.

He could possibly have a trabecular fracture (bone bruising), that whilst not necessarily serious long-term it can be very sore and take a while to settle. It is something that can become very uncomfortable as you increase training load. Given the nature of the tackle it is definitely feasible. This type of injury requires time as he won’t necessarily make it worse but the discomfort will impact function so make it impossible to perform to maximal level.

Only passing on a possible explanation.

Cheers.

He should’ve had the same fate as Virgil. So the fact we’re getting him back at any point is a bonus.

Spot on, Liverpoolfc8. Allow the guy to fully recover so he has a better chance of playing more games innige future. Don’t see the need to rush him back just to appease impatient fans.
