Terrible times for Liverpool apparently, whilst the form teams that the media are getting excited about are Tottenham and Chelsea. Hang on a minute, aren't we above Chelsea in the league and joint top with Spurs? Didn't we beat Chelsea away from home?

Not to mention that we've also played away at City (draw) and Everton (draw) and at home to Leicester (comfortable win) with our injury ravaged team. Also comfortably beat Arsenal at home. And we're top of our Champs League group as well.

Ok, we have to forget VVD and Gomes but we've got Trent and Thiago to come back and Henderson just back now.

I really don't get the negativity. Ok we're not going to win the league by twenty points but we were never going to this season.

We've done brilliantly to maintain our position with this horrendous run of injuries and I think if we can get to the new year there or thereabouts, we'll be in a great position.

Good post mate.

Very difficult start fixture wise, more injures than anyone in the league, most var decisions overturned against us.

Yet we're still the ones to beat. Could and probably should have been 4 points clear if correct decisions were made but I won't dwell on it cos it's a boring conversation now.

Get back on track with wins next week an things will all look rosy again.

Wish there was a 'love this post' cause you deserve it bro.

The amount of negative posts this season makes me wonder what these people were like when we were regularly finishing 8th. Some of them must have been circling the drain.

Spot on, OP. Negative posts just come from the reactionary feelings coming from fans right after games, IMO. Nuance is never considered in these Posts as it is just filled with drivel that anyone with some calm would read them and think, “These people are out of their freaking minds”.

Either way, keep these posts coming as it keeps things in perspective cos things are never as bad as they seem especially in our position and the OP just pointed that out.

Why are people so easily offended or bothered whether someone posts negative or positive. It’s just their opinion. If someone’s opinion on Liverpool football club actually effects people then the internet is def not for them. I personally love reading everyone’s opinions regardless of how different they are to mine. I also love debating with people who share different views. No idea why some people are so condescending to others or talk down to them like they are a better fan. Ps this isn’t aimed at anyone in particular just saying.

{Ed025's Note - your spot on mate..

Couldnt agree more JK23. Can you imagine the banter in the pub after a game before the internet arrived:

Fan: “I thought we were poor, need to sign someone decent, not going to win this year”
Rest of the pub: “Whoa, calm the negativity and back your team, you lousy supporter! ”

All views add to the flavour on these forums and there's plenty of plusses and minuses in each match. don't start beating down anyone who criticises the team or is negative about the way we are playing or this site will rapidly become like some other forums where you are not allowed to stray from the general consensus without being slammed.

{Ed025's Note - your spot on IDOG, opinions are what the site is all about mate..

It shows just what a good position the club is in when we're joint top and feeling upset about a draw.
I suppose it's just the feeling that we perhaps should be ahead bar some decisions. But all fans will feel that regarding their own teams.
Once the dust settled after a game, it's good to reach a rational frame of mind.
We're doing very well considering the tough fixtures and the injuries. Which is a huge positive.

There are opinions and there there are mindless rants with no context that are being spouted out to cause division and trigger people. If you cannot tell the difference then the internet is not for you.

The slight drop in form coincides perfectly with Jordan Henderson niggles. He's so important. With him back I see us going unbeaten for a while. I don't think we'll win the league by 20 points, but I don't see why we can't go 10 points clear by February.
