How good were Neco and Kelleher today? Should be very proud!

Much better game from Neco I'm really pleased for him.

Kelleher really surprised me, I've seen little of him but he done very well.

Easy to forget Curtis Jones cos the man looks like a established player!

Top spot secured, onto the knockouts 👏.

Kelleher been absolutely superb, Adrian surely won't get a look in for the Wolves game! Big Klopp hug for Kelleher, well deserved.

Kelleher is my man of the match. 4th player with the most touches, 4 saves, 2 of those saves were class saves. His body language tho seemed insecure and scared. Might be how he looks tho. Neco had a good game too. Assisted Jones and made couple of good interceptions. Both of them had a good game.

Kelleher was superb.

Jones right up there aswell, improving all the time. Saying it on here years the lad will be a star for us. Congrats to Kelleher too, brilliant game and much better from Neco. Good night for the kids.

Keleher surprised me today. He showed the maturity and calm beyond his years. His ball distribution and decision-making with either foot was outstanding. Adrian could be gone at the end of the season cos Kelleher could b promoted to no. 2.

As for Neco, he struggled in the first half esp with his passing but improved in the second half and that assist for the goal will definitely help his confidence. He also showed his ability to bounce back from a poor performance on the weekend which is testament to his mentality. Up Da Pool!

Very good performance from the team, they are far from polished but doing the job that's required of them at the minute and I don't think you can ask more then that right now.

Kelleher wow! I was nervous when I seen him in the line up, but he was excellent. Looked so much bigger and more confident than against Arsenal in the cup last time he played.

Very happy for Kelleher, Williams (Neco) and Jones; the latter two played to their potential and Kelleher, while a total surprise selection, was a big part of why we had three points tonight. It still miffs me that Firmino is not being played from the start when he is easily the most important player in the squad. I personally felt it would have been a good shout to rest Gini, start Firmino at the top of the triangle and blow them away early. Ajax is a solid team though; I expect them to beat Atalanta and go through. End of the day, we got the points, which is the most important thing and I feel confident that we will still catch fire soon. I guess the best thing is that we're through to the next stage and still tied for top of the league despite playing as bad as we have in three years. Hopefully we field a full strength (lol, as best we can at the moment) against Wolves and start on the front foot.

I have been on here doubting Neco before and I am going to temper everyones enthusiasm slightly.

First half he was the obvious weak link in the back 4, constantly out of position and not getting the crosses in the box when he had the chance.

However as soon as he got his assist he was a changed man. He grew in confidence and all of a sudden was first to the ball and was reacting much quicker if and when he was caught out of position.

My hope is that by getting more game time his confidence will continue to grow and he will be an able understudy to TAA.

Curtis Jones however I believe deserves all the plaudits. He was everywhere tonight, always looking to take the ball forward and very good with the ball in tight spaces. Really think this guy has a future.

klucas87, I don't think anyone is getting over enthusiastic over Neco. We know he is young and has serious rough edges that need to be ironed out but we are just recognizing that he play tonight was much better overall than the perf. he had at the weekend where his rashness and inexperience, showed. That's it, IMO.
