Did anybody notice how fluid our game ply was when Bobby was introduced. We were like headless chicken running around after Ajax for most of the game but when he came on we took over made a couple of great passes and took control of the game and looked like our old selves again. Great performance for the kids again good times to look forward to as well.
{Ed0666's Note - he looked good because the other 3 that started the game up front were having absolute shockers. It was impossible to look bad.

Jota can't play through the middle against a decent defence, imo. Not a real black mark against him, it's just not his position.
{Ed0666's Note - I’m not quite sure why the three of em didn’t interchange. Salah and Mane looked like they had another ding dong the way they were playing. Simple passes were going astray.

Mane looks like he could do with a break. Nothing came off for him last night.

Spot on, IR. Mane may need a rest and thankfully, he will get one next Wed in the CL cos altho Schuurs from Ajax played him well with help from the FB, he looked mentally knackered as his decision-making was off. He seemed to try to force things and when that starts to happen, it is a lost cause.
As for Jota, I thought he was poor esp. in his link up play and touch on the ball. How many times did he overrun the ball in critical situations and then lose it? It was the same at Brighton but cos he scored, it got overlooked. Thankfully, Ed01 pointed it out in his review.
As for Bobbie, the guy is back to being the Bobbie we know and love. That beautiful piece of skill to dribble past 3 players at the edge of his own box shows his confidence is back. Bobbie of a month ago, does not even try to do that. Up Da Pool!

Jota is allowed a below average game as he as been superb and I reckon he will be a couple against his old team on Sunday, Mane had a rest on Sat why is it when someone as a dip he needs a rest? They can have a rest against Midtylland, now is the time to clock some league points up.

The starting front 3 were not hitting their usual heights last night and all would probably agree that they had poor games to their usual standards.
Jota overran a few balls in the first have but he did tee up Jones for his first shot and he also played a lovely outside of the foot ball to Mane in the 2nd hald but Mane seemed to take an age to get his strike away and eventually it was blocked. I'm pretty sure (might have even been Bobby) he threaded a nice one through for Salah as well who cut inside and the ball ended up bouncing about in the box before Hendo chose to try and flick the ball over a defenders head rather than shoot.
Mane just didn't seem to be at the races. Its not usual that a defender have much success against him and last night Schurr and him was a battle. He won some but also ended up 2nd best in quite a few which is extremely unusual for him.
Mo looked a frustrated figure throughout as he made numerous runs and then the ball just didn't find its way to him. The with 10-15 mins to go he then made all those same frustrating mistakes himself as he seemed to become greedier and chose all the wrong options.
Bobby looked good when he came on and he looks so composed on the ball. His dribble and skill set from the edge of our box was world class. If only he seemed as composed once he gets into the opposition box. His 1 chance was glorious and he should really have made it game set and match but he took it early and allowed the keeper the opportunity to make a save. Also as well i thought he could have intercepted Hendo's ambitious volley and it would have put him 1 on 1 with the keeper. Perhaps he thought he was offside or it was going in but he seemed to move out the way.
For me though i wouldn't be surprised to see Bobby, Salah and Jota start against Wolves.
