Hi Ed001, just wondering what your thoughts were on caoimhin's performance last night? Would you stick with him until Ali returns?

{Ed001's Note - defo yes, he is much better on the ball than Adrian. He will no doubt make mistakes which cost us points, but he needs to play and learn from those mistakes.}

Agree2 Disagree0

Spot on, Ed01. Kelleher surely earned the right to start at the weekend and at Mijydtland. If people think he won't make mistakes then don't bother watching him.

One thing he does tend to do in the games I have seen him is palm the ball back into trouble.

It’s something you don’t often seen Alisson do. It’s either caught as he’s diving or palmed out/ far enough wide.

Nothing he can’t learn through.

Totally agree eds.
footballs not very enjoyable to watch at the min but to see kids come though is extremely enjoyable for me.

I'd even go as far as saying rest him for the Mijydtland game and keep him first choice for the Wolves and Fulham game if it saves rushing Allison back. Allison can get an extra few days then ready for the Spurs game. But for me if places are earned on perfromacnes then Kelleher as leap frogged Adrian into the number 2 keeper role.

Let’s hope he doesn’t cost us a lot of significant points though albeit there’s not much we can do about it.

He’s earned a chance to be back up, played very well against good opposition and didn’t make a horrendous mistake like Onana did (and how much was he being touted around for in the summer? ) .

Not a bad should there, JK but let us see how he does vs Wolves first.

RM the other reason i would play Adrian is he's clearly got no confidence. Since the Athletico game he has sadly seemed to have made mistake after mistake. A no pressure game agaisnt the Danish could be just what he needs. If he plays well we have the Adrian of last season early back. If he doesn't then we haven't lost anything.

Let's forget about how Adrian saved our skin at the beginning of the season last year and was crucial in our setting ourselves up as future champions. And then let's also forget about his mistakes during the Atletico game and afterwards. And look at the way our back four plays with a high line, and with frequent touches by the goalkeeper to maintain possession. We clearly need a sweeper keeper who is good with his feet, distributes well, and is a good enough shop stopper. As Klopp said himself, that is clearly Kelleher.
