Great result last night lad's, all done and dusted with one game left to play FANTASTIC. Now as for that young upstart Kellegher for me it wasn't just his saves but his all round play. He didn't look nervous and if he did he hid it really well. His handing was safe and secure. With the ball at his feet he was very confident. When I heard Alison was out the old sphincter mussels contracted but was delighted when Kellegher was picked instead. So maybe Klopp has no confidence in Adrian either? Anyway good luck to the lad he definitely deserves to keep his place and should be after last night the clubs no.2.Also from a Irish point of view about time we got a decent keeper coming through YNWA lad's👍😁.

I agree Barry, great to see the young lad do well for the team and great to see a young Irish keeper step up and be counted.

Can I also add as well it's not just young Kellegher I'm proud of but I'm equally proud of any young player coming through to the 1st team not matter what country that they are from because that is the Liverpool way.

Agreed. Kelleher got his chance and he took it. All credit to him. Now we know the future, post Allison, is Kelleher, Pitaluga or one of the Polish boys. Adrian was always a temporary measure. Hope Barry's sphincter is now relaxed. 😁.

Aye I agree Barry, in fairness was great to see young Jones scoring from a Williams cross too. Big big night for the youngsters, love seeing them come through the ranks and do well 👏👏.

Exactly Bill brilliant for all the young lad's. Its a lot more relaxed now ArAy👍.

Brilliant for the young lad and what a performance. Looking at our injury list and how this season is going I can’t help but think that a massive unsung hero for us is Wijnaldum. He just never seems to miss a game and even on a bad day he will give you a steady 6 performance. The fact we could lose this lad for free in 7 months time is criminal. I think it’s time Lfc and Klopp offer him a deal that he cannot turn down.

{Ed0666's Note - Give him an offer he can’t refuse. Maybe we should get Micheal Corleone and not Micheal Edwards to negotiate with Gini and his agent?

JK23, I was going to say something along the same lines. Yes the kids were great against Ajax and they were rightfully praised for stepping up when needed. But let's not forget the stalwarts who were also present for the night (Robbo, Hendo, Wiji), and who produce whenever on the field.

In terms of Wiji's contract extension, I think things have changed since Rodgers and Klopp's (early) days. Things have become more critical because there are titles to defend now, and not just to inch up to. Extensions were easily handed out to players with mixed performances (remember Lovren and Mignolet? ) . That can't be the case anymore, the stakes are much higher, it's a different club. Extension and transfer business has become a more refined and critical business, and rightly so. Risk assessment is crucial. Milner's 2 year extension was easily and quickly sorted. A 3 or 4 year request by Wiji (I'm guessing) is not the same thing. So what I'm saying is that Klopp probably wants to ensure he has the best possible player available for a position at the best possible price/ wages, before he proceeds with extensions.

Agree jk23.

Makes me wonder if the club is planning a couple of midfield signings in the summer. As it stands looks like Wij will be leaving, possibly Milner and Keita rarely fit.

Pretty certain he does have an offer in front of him and remember Edwards has to make sure the list is balanced eg age, HG etc. don't want to end up like Barcelona with a truckload of aging stars on expensive contracts that we can't afford.

He did well. Think of all these players getting proper game time. People like r williams kelleher was probably above Williams in the coaches eyes and probably more thought of than Philips, and coz of his position he's not getting a look in. We've been hearing good things about the young keeper and om glad he played.

I don't really think it was a lack of confidence in Adrian, more confidence in kelleher. If other players he's come up with are getting games, then why not him? Seemz coaches belief was justified.

Get Luca Brasi to negotiate I'm sure then Gini wouldn't refuse.

{Ed0666's Note - He deffo would be signing that contract then mate.

'Forget about it' 066.

{Ed0666's Note - I already have mate. Lol. Clearly you’ve been binge watching the sopranos mate.

ArAy1969 and not just big up to those stalwarts who helped the young guns thru the game, those stalwarts according to Klopp, were playing with injury. Hendo had a bad back and Robbo had a nasty knock on his ankle but as we saw, taped it up and kept on going.

As for Gini, I do not know how he does it as in, playing his 6th straight game playing all 90 mins. When you see Gini making long busting runs in the 93rd min of that game, is just a mad ting. Give the guy what he wants and let him end his career here. Or like Ed said if Michael Corleone does not work, get Tony Soprano on the case.

"Leave the gun, take the Comolli" when it comes to negotiations.
