Not to sound too arrogant, but I truly believe we will win the league this year. There is still a lot of the season and there are quality clubs, but we have the quality to win the league again. I don't think we'll win the champions league, but that's okay. Happy New Year Reds!

Same here mate, I have no doubts about it.

It is only me, but to be honest I don't mind if the club don't win the league. The feeling of satisfaction is still overwhelming when the team won it. I have been waiting for that for years, and finally they won it. Oh my I am going to get slammed here surely lol.

HaizanMSS - hopefully you do, and deservedly so. Why would you not mind if the club you support doesn’t win the league, especially when doing so is well within the capabilities of the manager and players? Winning the league back to back would be an enormous achievement for the club, further strengthening it for the future in the process.
I’m sorry but the sanctimonious utterances of some of the posters on here are making an otherwise excellent site difficult to visit at times. It does NOT make you a better fan or person to not criticize the team for performing or achieving below of what it is capable.

It never crossed my mind to say I am a better fan by saying those. But the irony is, it does sound like it was you who was trying to say you are the better. Go and take it if you want. :)

What a load of crap haizan. So the satisfaction of winning last year’s league will suffice so no need to ever win it again. It would be unbearable to listen to other teams supporters if we can’t retain it calling us “one offs” and only “great teams do back to back titles” and be littling our win saying, even though we had it all but wrapped up before the break in play, that we only won it because of the C.V.. All of which is total baloney but if we can retain it this year with all the injuries imo it’ll be even better than hitting the 100 points or running away with the league.

I didn't mean the club don't need to win it again. In fact, I am with all, to win it again would be great. I agree with you Doohamlet, to win it back to back would be great. Im so sorry guys. I deserved to be slammed with such a statement. But allow me to defend myself just a bit or maybe rephrase it; I don't mind if the team don't win, but I would love them to win again and again and again.

I agree with Haizan. I’ve supported Liverpool since 1988 and there were times I thought we would never win the league again in my lifetime. The fact that we have now won the league again gives me a happiness I never thought I’d have again and if we never win another league title I couldn’t give a rubbish, no one can take this away from us. The club and players can strive for more but I’m content now. If you are a Liverpool supporter and are nor happy now then I feel sorry for you, you will never be happy.

Winning this year would be far sweeter, for one retaining the title marks a true great team (which we are), secondly the injuries we have endured (note other teams are not exempt from this) but world class talent such as Thiago, Allison, Virgil, Trent and throw in Milner, Gomez, Matip, Keita, Jota, Shaq and Tsimikas and how that has affected our defensive line up. Finally doing it without fans, and we have the best fans in the world on any home match day to motivate the team to a win. I am optimistic is Fabinho, Thiago, Hendo, Allison, Trent and Robbo can make it through the season without any injuries to them but it will be a close one this season - we had the chance to pull clear but we obviously did not have enough in the tank to get the job done in a few instances, once we get a bit of luck going our way we should be fine.

Haizan, big clubs are ruthless. We are LFC, we should be aiming to win big trophies all the time. We are not Leicester, who won it once and are unlikely to win it anytime soon.
Personally, I'd be extremely disappointed if we don't win at least one of the two major trophies (League title or the UCL) this season. This team is simply too good to stop at winning one premier league and UCL trophy each.

I can understand what everyone is trying to say and only thing I can compare it to is did winning the CL 2 years ago under Klopp make you feel it was less of an achievement because we won it in 05 with Rafa. Nah. It felt just as good. Winning the premier league again regardless of if it’s this season, next or in the future will feel just as good and possibly even better as there is the probable chance of us having fans in the ground for the next title win.
