It seems likely that Matip won't be fit in time for Sundays game.

This leaves us with either Phillips, Williams or Henderson to fill in the CB position alongside Fabinho.

Who are we going for if Matip can't make it? What is your preference ED001?

Most likely Hendo and Fabinho at the back. Leaves Gini, Thiago and Jones to play midfield. We should still be expected to defend and control the game well with that quality.

You play Phillips and Fabinho together with both full backs advanced and you’re asking for trouble.
At least with Henderson at CB we can more safely utilise the full backs as an attacking threat.

Although, saying that, Maguire is not exactly quick but Man Utd tend to play with two deeper midfielders.
So that could be an option in games like this moving forward perhaps. A 4-2-1-3 or similar approach.
But Klopp tends to impose his style on the opposition rather than the other way round.
Half the time we’re facing a massed 11 man defence anyway, and our formation hardly matters!

I would also go with Phillips. Not sure why Klopp hasn't played him much recently. Been nothing short of solid when he has played.

I think that's the team I would also play Kloppers!

Kloppers you confused me a lot with all those letters there. Can't you just put their names? I don't know what's up with all those DCL, KWP and etc. Its confusing, and yes those 2 are professional footballers that I gave example with.

I’d have Williams instead of Philips. Not much between them but a just think Williams is better on the ball. Both are suspect positionally and both are slow but Philips was awful against Newcastle. Got bullied all game. I’ve never seen that happen to Williams and he’s performed well in the CL and did well against Spurs so he edges it for me.

Phillips over Williams all day long. Williams is a poor defender. I’d rather play Phillips who can actually defend. I suspect it’s going to be Henderson and Fabinho which is going to cost us dearly.

Play Phillip's but don't set up the team as if he is Van Dijk. Play to his strengths and then out the other players in their best position to hurt manU. I think we'd be worse off with Hendo in CB again.
