Really need to get this off my chest.,

There's be a good number of comments suggesting how bitter liverpool fans are, with a lack of respect thrown in, all being tarnished with the same brush

Let me just explain a couple of things.
For those that sit on the Kop will know exactly what I'm talking about

Every away sides keeper whether, it's Everton, Chelsea and yes United gets a round of applause as he runs from the touch line in to the goal with a standing ovation, and it's great when the keepers clap back.

Whenever we see a cracking goal from any opposing side they get a bloody clap from us and also if an opposing keeper makes a good save.

Yes we get on players backs and boo but we also have a lot of respect for opposing players, I for one love watching live, the likes of Kevin De Brugne for instance, I actually feel quite privileged as I how difficult it is get obtain match day tickets.

Cristiano Ronaldo got booed all game when Madrid came to Anfield not so long ago. He was subbed 5 mins before the end, he received a standing ovation from all four sides of the ground when he left the field.

Social media drives the " so called Liverpool supporters " to a sense of bitterness, not supporters at the game.

The Man U keeper gets a clap but it is fake as soon as he responds the Kop give him hell. I agree all other keepers get clapped but not the Man U keeper.

Sorry Mark, you are completely wrong - The United keeper gets the same clap as everyone! And doesn’t get any grief! When the game starts it’s a different story.

And I’ll add, it’s quite often some of the lower teams clubs keepers done clap, back I remember one from Bolton Wanderers never ever used to clap back, his name escapes me now.

That is a load of rubbish. I have been to a dozen Man U matches on the kop and it’s hatred and no honest clapping exists to the Man U keeper. If u say it’s different in last last 5 years then I will take your word for that.

I just can’t agree. I have been on the Kop for many of those matches and never once has it been as you describe. Maybe in the last few years it is different but when I was going in was hatred. Schmeichel, the first time he clapped the Kop he got pelters to put it mildly.

Sorry mate, clapping keepers is a long standing tradition, even when the kop was standing. I’ve had a season ticket for years and we have always clapped the United keepers.

You really are wrong on this.

I've never stood on the Kopp. Its a real bucket list, for a big game.

Get to Anfield maybe twice or three times a season these days.

Good on you mikey B mate.

I’ll be totally honest, it’s a lot more comfortable now we are seated! Showing my age maybe.

Whilst we are on the subject of standing - In 89 we lost the league to Arsenal in the dying seconds but you know what mate - that night, us bitter and twisted liverpool fans stayed behind and clapped the new champions - Arsenal.

{Ed025's Note - thats when you were nice drogie..

I was there so we will have to 100% disagree, maybe other long standing kopites would set you straight as it’s not even a debate for me, it just didn’t happen. My season ticket went from 1985 to about 2002 so maybe it’s different now. Anywho let’s smash them tomorrow.

Come on 25 mate, that’s a bit below the belt.
And besides, I thought you’d put the Rashford thing behind you ( with me ) and the case was closed.

I could go on about my experiences over the years with man united ( but I won’t on here ) especially away, stood up in their east stand in recent times, can’t even remember the name of the their away end in the late 80’s, some sort of paddock. What I do remember is that we took a lot more than the 3,000 allocation in today’s games!

Happy to call a truce mate? As we clearly have different views 👍.

{Ed025's Note - fair enough drogie mate..

16 Jan 2021 23:03:07
👍 3-1 tomorrow.

16 Jan 2021 23:29:42
We certainly will have to disagree Mark mate, especially when you say you’ve only been to only a dozen LFC / United matches on the kop.
I decided to text the bloke I sit next to, he’s been going since the late 70’s. And he agrees with me, you are talking nonsense, maybe you were sitting in another part of the ground?

Anyway mate, the most important thing is that we obtain all three points tomorrow. Another draw or loss is not good enough!

{Ed0666's Note - well I just texted David De Gea to ask him and he told me to Fuc* off.

16 Jan 2021 23:47:11
Mark, I’ve a season ticket and have done for years. I sit in block 106, 22 rows back to the right of the goal. The United keeper as with all keepers gets clapped, sorry mate.

Like I said in the above post, when the game kicks off it’s a different story.
