Hi Ed’s and reds I can see Leon Bailey as a potential replacement for salah should he leave in the summer.

{Ed0666's Note - I think there’s a few sides that are after him mate. Spurs, Arsenal and I think Everton once upon a time. 4 goals and 4 assists this season in 15 appearances. He’s rapid aswell.

Salah should be kept at all costs because nobody in that position can do what he does for Liverpool, we need to keep our best players. Don't get me wrong, if he wants out then fine, offload at the first opportunity otherwise we keep him, I wouldn't put any player in his place right now because nobody is as good, he fits perfectly in this team.

Unless Halaand or Mbappe are the Salah replacement, I do not want us to get rid of Salah. His numbers are insane, levels above Mane and Bobby. You cannot just sign any inconsistent and second rate winger like Bailey to replace him. It has to be someone who has a track record of scoring lots of goals or we change formation to accommodate a proper No.9 like Halaand.

Spot on, Salah and IB. Bailey is not in Salah’s league. Nowhere near it. He is not even better than our own Jota, IMO. Salah is an international super star. Proven world class in terms of production only rivales by Messi, Ronaldo and Mbappe for the past three years. If we cannot get like for for him in terms of ability and production then we keep him if he wants to stay.

People had better b careful with what they wish for cos if they think we can just get any old wide player out there to do all the things that Salah does, then they are in for a shock. Same for Bobby and Mane. Keep them if they want to stay and compliment them with Jota and Bailey, im.

Don’t forget though that the team will need younger players coming in as we can keep salah, mane, bobby, hendo, until they retire then have no money to buy half a team.
Don’t get me wrong am all for keeping salah but we also have to think about the future.

Is Halaand a direct replacement for Salah? Mbappe, well, great player, doesn't seem to be so motivated this year and would cost an absolute bomb and twice the wages Thiago is on. I really don't understand why people keep putting him up as an option. It is never going to happen.

We should be trying to keep Salah. No wide man out there produces his numbers on a consistent basis. If Salah were to leave, we have to be targeting Haaland. The kids finishing for a 20 year old and pace for someone his size is actually not normal and in our system is the only one I see replicating or coming close to Salah’s stats. That would simply mean Mane and Jota either side of him. Bailey is not on Jota’s level and we can’t make the same mistake we did when we sold Suarez by signing second rate players.
