Looking forward to the review of that game, cracking tie. Two goals for Mo and a confidence building performance from Bobby. Lots of positives to take forward.

A word for our opponents tonight, they had their worst start to a season in nearly 30 years, they managed to turn their season around. Congrats to them on tonight’s win they move on to the next round we don’t, c’est la vie . If they manage to stay in the title race and win it in May, well then they will deserve all the plaudits. Im certain sure though that we will have something to say in that fight and our league game in old Trafford will hold so much weight than today’s game ever did.

We will emerge from this blip and make our way back up the table in spite of our injuries/ lack of cb’s. We will get back to our best and in my opinion tonight’s performance shows the signs of that. Our season is far from over. Stay safe reds YNWA.

before the team news came out, I would have thought a weakened team could not beat a strong united team, they have way too much fire power up front,
R Williams is getting too much stick, yes he is not good or fast enough, but we can't blame the young lad .
I would have liked Trent to have been rested, but Neco Williams next to R Williams would have been a disaster .
Klopp has to take a big share of the blame for this struggle,
but yes, there is a lot to take from this game, I just hope that Kloppy takes some notes from the last four games, and change a few things .

We was second best today, had a good 20 minute spell in 2nd half and everyone is raving, but we were poor.

{Ed0666's Note - I thought we were better than we have been. There was some verve and effervescence back in our game. The problem at the moment is the confidence which will only improve with a few wins on the bounce.

Let’s calm down. When Utd scored the latest goal we reverted back to no ideas like previous games and looked devoid of scoring. Firmino? He had two good passages of play, other than that he did nothing. How two good moments need to be for the entirety he’s on the pitch.
