I'm a big fan of Firmino and I'm usually the first to defend him but he seems to lost the knack to keep play moving at pace in the last few months. Don't know if it's confidence or what, just seems to be second guessing himself constantly.

Firmino has been awful for 2 and a half years, its only now because we are not winning and other players are off form that people are realising this. Firmino has one good game in 8 and that is very very generous.

Sadly Trent is way below form whether it's the result of C.V. or what, but he hadn't a clue there was someone behind him for their goal, he never looked once during the build up to their goal.
It was kind of funny the look on his face when he realised he hadn't seen the 6'4" player who was heading the ball back across goal.

Drogie it his his fault he couldn't be arsed to stop the cross and his fault he got the chance one on one with the keeper then waited 45 minutes for the defender to recover. Also while we are discussing Firmino he gives the ball away in his own half far too often. I don't trust him, and haven't for 2 seasons. I rely on Mane, Salah, VVD, Allison, Henderson I do not rely on Firmino.

Would people not give Salah and Mane credit for the goals they have scored from the wings that most forwards in the pl would not be able to score and Firmino could only dream of. They are miles ahead of Firmino in ability, simple as. If Firmino is such a wonder why has no team tried to buy him. I know if you don't follow the football aficionados superior knowledge about him you are considered unworthy but come on, wake up and accept that RF has just not been anywhere near good enough over the last year and a half.

It was a multitude of issues, not Firnino. Haaland wouldn’t have scored tonight as we made no real chances. When Ox and Div came on they made no impact at all. Ox kept running into crowds when there were better passes and Div just kept getting in the way. That was utterly pathetic and worse than Burnley, because that was a poor performance and awful refereeing, this was just a pathetic performance. Play like that at the weekend and it’ll be a cricket score. Season is over now, only thing left is getting top four.

We’re in a period of change anyway we’ve got Thiago who isn’t what this teams been about for 2/ 3 seasons. So I think a big change is coming upfront also. Since this time last year when Athletico figured us out it’s been obvious we need to change now, and I think Klopp/ Edwards will sell Firmino and buy a goalscorer in the summer.

Regret that Firmino post a bit. A lot of really harsh comments in my opinion. Some folks need to remember what these players have delivered in the last 2 years.
Just for clarification, Firmino is an amazing player and is integral to what has been achieved, and it certainly wasn't his fault alone last night. My point was 2 years ago, if he was on the end of that thiago free kick, he's hitting that on the volley while looking back at the dugout. But for some reason his decision making seems off by a second or two and has for a while. I think it's magnified by the fact teams are aware if you are narrow and packed, make Firmino drop deeper to get the ball then it's preventing Salah, Mane (or whoever else is playing) the space to run into.
Overall, it was a poor team display last night. Not one individual stood out in a red shirt so blaming one person is pointless.
