None of us are happy with the way results have been going but all things considered, when you look at city last season, they lost Laporte and were 20 points adrift come January. So where we are having lost all of our first treat CB's.

It just shows the absolute importance of a quality back 4. You have to credit City, Stones and Dias have kept Laporte out of the side and aren't leaking many goals.

Not as if they haven’t spent money on them drog!
Lost count the amount they’ve spend on defenders!
You can argue it’s paid of too but we’ve spent pittance compared to them on defenders!

The other point I was trying to make, was more how we’ve fared with so many injuries, compared to how city really fell away with the injury to Laporte last season.

We really need to bounce back today though.

Allison, TAA, VVD, Gomez, Matip, Robertson, Hendo, Fabinho, Jones, Gini, Milner, Thiago, Salah, Jota, Firmino, Mane, Keita and Ox.

Out of those 18 tried and trusted players players Vvd, Gomez, Matip, Jota and Keita have been out for considerable periods of time, leaving 13 players plus then the likes of Shaq, Origi etc to pull their finger out.
For me that makes it difficult for the 13 players to stay fit and also in form considering the amount of games coming at rapid pace. Off course that doesn't include the lesser time injuries to Hendo, Milner, Fabinho, Mane and Thiago.
Its been incredible tough for Liverpool and maybe highlights our lack of quality in depth.
When I look at it I'm surprised we are where we are.
