Given a few rumours regarding Mbappe to Liverpool, how much would it actually cost to sign him and how many of our 'premium' players would have to be lost to sign him. Purely hypothetically. Same question really for any team who looked to sign him.

At a guess north of £300m, taking everything into account. He is going to be a truly great player but will he get 30 goals a season like Salah? Not sure he seems to get injured quite a bit.
We would need to sell 2 star players probably and would still need Nike to help out.
Maybe there is one situation that would make the move much more likely. If by August the whole country was vaccinated and fans were allowed back in but they weren’t in other countries.

I think Mbappes contract expires at the end of next season? I think the only way someone will be able to afford him is buy signing him on a 'free transfer'.

I know technically he'd have an outrageous signing on fee and huge wages so it's not exactly free. But PSG would surely ask for more money than any team could afford right now!

The salary alone would be a deal breaker.
Unless he's willing to fit in with the club's salary structure (and I can't see THAT happening) then it's a non-starter.
Can't blame people for dreaming, but that's all it is. The reality is the financing, probably only Man City and Chelsea could shoulder that burden in this country.

Mbappe fancies the move and Klopp really wants him, his contract expiring puts his price down IMO and the wages can be made up with bonuses, a deal could be worked with Edwards involved. He is the one player who is going to be the player of the next decade.
