Anyone else think that tomorrow's game would be a good chance to put Davies into the team and see how he can do? Don't see the point in signing him just to sit on the bench, let's give him some game time and see if he can do a job for us. Allows Hendo/ Fab back into midfield making us stronger there.

Yeah if he’s fit. We have 3 fit centre backs so why are we playing midfielders in the defence?

local derby with the most sending off's in the league, is not in my opinion the time to play a CB with 2 games under his belt along side a CB with no games under his belt. One or the other alongside Hendo or Fab would be my preference.

No Fab though chaps so it means we'd have Hendo in defence again. If these two players we've just brought in aren't good enough to play against Everton then why buy/ loan them in the first place?

Phillips and kabak/ Davies. Hendo at DM would give them a hell of a lot more protection than wiji/ thiago.

Thanks flashthered, but you may have noticed that we have a bit of a crisis in defence that has required us to play our best midfielders out of position for the past 2 months. This isn't really the time for us to be talking about the luxury of integrating players over an extended period of time.

JK23, the big difference is that VVD had plenty of premier league experience before his debut.
Davies would get eaten alive and kicked to oblivion by the likes of Richarlison and Pickford.
