Keep hearing a lot on here that we will be better next season without the injuries, and a decent rest, then a proper pre season.
However we have the euros this summer, plus the potential of being in the europa league which starts early.
I doubt that after this squashed season due to C.V., there will be much resting at all over the summer.
The players will be embarking on there 3rd season in a row, with little or no rest at all.
Add that to the heavy metal football klopp likes to play, and it could be a long old slog for some of the lads again.
We need to freshen up the squad over the summer. Not massive wholesale changes, but 2 or 3 in key positions. Bring Elliott back, and intergrate him.
I love Bobby, love him. When we were beating everyone, his tricks, and ability made us look even better than we were, but now, when the chips are down, he needs to be playing his part. I wonder if its time for him to move on, and i never thought id say that.
I really think this season isn't a write off. I can still see us finishing in top 4, and getting into champs league final. After the 3 seasons we have just had, i still think that would be an ok season.
Next season, depending who arrives in the league, and at which team, i still think we will start the season as second favourites.
Yesterday hurt, but we are liverpool, and we march on. Its the job of each and every one of us to get behind the players, and the manager. They have given us everything for 3 great years. They deserve our backing, and even though this year may not be as good as we'd all hoped, at the end of the storm, there's a golden sky, NEVER forget that!

I agree. I try not to comment or post on the day when the hurt is raw. I still love my liverpool. We will never go back to the dross that was hodgers football. This period we are in is very hard simply because we are so good that this form is alien to us. This form is alien to us because of the high standards this team and manager has set. I'll be wearing my shirts proudly and still supporting fiercely. Come on you reds! YNWA EVER!

The African Nations as well.

I think we’re going to need to bring in a centre back, a few midfielders and maybe a forward.

Given that Wijnaldum is likely to go, I’d also sell Ox, Grujic, Wilson, Keita, Origi, Matip, Karius, Ojo and possibly Firmino. I think Milner should be released as I think age is catching up with him. The only question is, who do we bring in?

Does anyone here think the Euros will go ahead? I know nothing but wonder if the Eds have any insight?

The whole concept of it feels really dumb given where we are at the moment. We can't even play certain CL games in the proper countries. For the good of the game UEFA should just can it and let the players have some time off.

{Ed001's Note - they are talking about running tests on fans returning to stadiums for the cup finals as a test run for the Euros, last I heard.}

I reckon they will go ahead (money spinner that they won't want to lose) i think it'll be similar to the champs league and Europa of last season where they choose 1 or 2 hubs. If it goes ahead with its existing plan its plain daft. As for fans reduced capacity would be my guess.
I was lucky enough to have tickets for 1 of the Wembley games but I'm planning my year as if I won't be attending. I just don't see how we get to full capacity games within 4 months.

I agree with that list 6 Times. Although it pains me to see Firmino on there, it could be time to cash in. Our squad quality is not as good as City. This was obvious prior to this season getting underway. But we do need to consider moving on the injury prone players as well as those not upto it (i. e. Keita, Origi) .

We will win the Champs league boys 😃.

I'm with you MikeyB👍.

Cash in? How much do you think we will get for him. Nobody rates him like we do. He doesn't suit any other teams.
We are better off selling one of mane or salah to get some funds to power one or two big signings. And then sell a whole lot to fund another.
We need three or four big signings that can be integrated in sqaud from Day 1.
First of all we need a CB one from kounde or white. Then we need a attacking midfielder which could be goncalves from sporting. Then we def need one striker anybody like a ings or watson could do well.
Lastly we need luxury name and my pick out of the lot is lautaro martinez.
If we hit all those we start as favourite next season else its a long road next season yet again.

{Ed0666's Note - you are befitting you’re name with that post mate. In a normal market we’d get lots of money for Bobby. He’d be tremendous at Barca, PSG, City et al. Yes his form has dipped but this a season of anomalies. He’s only 29, he comes alive in front of 40,000 fans and his ability is undisputed. White isn’t nearly as good as VVD or a fully for turned on Gomez, If Gonclaves was so special why did wolves move him on after a couple of years? Ings may do a job but can you trust his knees? I wouldn’t touch him with a barge pole with his injury record and he’s not that young either no sell on value. No idea who Watson is. Martinez is someone I’d love at Liverpool but do you see us pay 75-100 mill for him?

We won't get much for firmino. He fits us and won't fit Barcelona or psg as you say. So first of all you don't sell what suits you and second we have better players to sell who can be easily replaced. So selling bobby is a no go for me.
Then we overate gomez not as a player but as amount of games he will play. He will get injured, he always will so there is that and we would need to balance quota etc.
I meant watkins.

KPee, ed002 has said on multiple occasions that cashing in and buying is a good strategy. So we should do it.

Akrubbish, and how are we getting all these players who even the likes of City and Utd walked way from (Kounde) w/ o the funds? Just asking.
