i think its a mental fatigue that has affected the team. The intensity of the the last 3 years and the realisation that the league title has been achieved has caused the focus/ mental approach to drop slightly. Yes we have had horrific injuries which have added to the problem but the intensity and performance dropped soon after the the title was mathematically done last season. If we don't make top four it will be what will be, the boo boys will scream no one will want come to us. Didn't seem to bother Alonso, Torres, Suarez or Coutinho when we were below the level of recent seasons.

I personally believe its down to lack of options. We have players injured, so we are down to the bare bones of our core group. They are having to play time and time again even if they are out of form or could do with a break. The players we rely on outside the core group just aren't cutting it, we all know that and it needs addressing urgently.
For those that say we have been out of form for 12 months I would say how did we then get to the top of the League by Christmas? That for me would make no sense and for those that think the team have "downed tools", well that's just idiotic.

Spot on, IR. Mental fatigue was already creeping in at the end of last season as we were struggling already physically at tha.

Sorry, posted too soon in error. Spot on, IR. We already were struggling mentally last season which leads to metal fatigue. That will happen due to the run we are in.

As IR says, the the lack of options is killing us and that is again (people can call these excuses all they want but it is the reality), down to injuries and the exceptional amount of them that we have. It does not allow you to rotate and give players a rest who are prolly suffering from mental fatigue or physical fatigue. Those options are simply not there so everything stems from there, IMO. This is not difficult to work out.

TBH we have different options but Klopp is being a bit stubborn and not changing formation, defence etc, I don't think we should be on this bad a run with the players we have fit, i just think Klopp has had the wind knocked out of him, he will be back stronger i believe.
