So with the possibility that this will be all over mid June (absoloute best case) what are peoples views on having a parade?

We joked last year of what itd be like if we had a poor season and then had a parade but it looks like that will be a real possibility.

Personally I'll be going if I can, we didn't celebrate properly last year and I have been waiting my whole life to celebrate winning it. I know it'll be the butt of many jokes and rival fan banter but I don't really care.

Just intrigued on other liverpool fans views?

Hopefully a massive parade will also be motivation to want to do it all again!

Agree2 Disagree0

Nah. No parade unless we win the champions league.
It’d be embarrassing when City are already 19 points infront of us and rising.

What is the meaning behind a parade for a title won 12 months ago, and a title that has a new champion since then? It looks not just a bit but very much hollow, to me. But then I'm not a Liverpudlian, so I will not assume to know how the residents feel about it. Maybe it still means a lot.

No way. it will be a massive mistake to do a parade now. Next time yes.

No parade. An it pains me to say it. We wait 30 years, and then can't celebrate it properly.
However by the time we can, somebody else will be the champions.
Id be using the fact of no celebrations with the fans, as a way to motivate next year!

We will do a double parade after we win our next PL or CL along with the 2020 title.

It’s been and gone!
Anyway this season is the real asterisk season 😉.

Wyred it will be very interesting to see what the club do regarding this. Personally for me I think the ship has sailed. But I’m sure thousand and thousand of fans will disagree so would turn out for such a parade.

Appreciate the opinions chaps, maybe it’s because it makes me regret not going to the CL one that I am clinging on to it so much.

Think instead of a parade we should do a testimonial game after the season and get as many of the title winning squad as possible involved, donate the profit to some of the local charities that have been screwed over in the past year.

Hjikle, good shout that, maybe split the team in half and fill the squads with people that have gone above and beyond in these trying times.

22 Feb 2021 21:57:45
The way the squad is playing that game has a 0-0 draw written all over it 🤣.

It's one of the biggest disappointments of this season, that the club and fans haven't had the chance to celebrate the victory together.

23 Feb 2021 10:27:33
Agree with the sentiments here, and the overall conclusion. I'm like you, WYred, in that I didn't go up to Liverpool in 2019 for the CL parade and really wanted to celebrate the EPL after so many years, but it's not to be.

Any sort of parade now would be in bad taste, unless of course we win No 7 :)

23 Feb 2021 10:53:53
your probably right but we will see how the club deal with it. i think it will be even worse as the likes of United fans will revel in the fact we won it and couldn't really celebrate it. fingers crossed it's not another 30 years!
