One thing too ponder with f. s. g is klopp signed a new contract knowing quite well what parameters he would have too work under, obviously C.V. has crippled us financially and klopp signed the contract before C.V. but the manager had no problem with the way they work in the transfer market .
We will find out if this changes this upcoming transfer window because there will have too be big movement in and out of the club and klopp needs to be fully backed .

{Ed077's Note - But nobody had a clue about the financial issues that would be brought up by the pandemic. Klopp was given all the support and resources before the pandemic that he needed.

Was Klopp not the one demanding the signing of Thiago? but I am quite sure ed2 said that a few at the club was against it, this season some of clubs team choices are to be questioned, he needs to turn things around as surely our squad is still good enough to beat teams like Brighton at home, time to bounce back without excuses.

{Ed077's Note - "Demanding" is a strong word but Thiago was a player Klopp very much wanted to work with.

Spot on, Ed. Klopp was given everything he wanted and has the power to veto or impose his authority on who we sign or don't sign. The diff. is that as the humble guy that he is, he allows himself to be convinced and people around him have the ability to tell him NO and to make their case. That is how Salah, Jota, and Allisson for example, got signed even tho, they were not the ones Klopp wanted.

Also, we all knew at the time that Thiago was a player Klopp admired and always wanted to work with cos Ed02 said so so again, I am not buying this fake notion that he is being undermined in any way. Klopp says it himself that he did not want Salah BUT was convinced by his scouting team to get him. He wanted Oblak BUT got Allisson cos of costs and that he was convinced that AB was a better option at the time. He wanted Thiago. We got him Thiago.

The fact of the matter is that people can want to blame or hint at blaming FSG for whatever dumb reason for our woes (cos it is the easiest thing to do) BUT they HAVE backed Klopp to the fullest. He has been allowed to spend 480m since he arrived here. He has been backed EVEN THO he was caught tapping up players like VVD and Keita for whom we grossly overpaid to get them. The club could have baulked at both of these signings based on the PR disaster that ensued YET they didn't. They backed him still and he brought us success.

So enuff of this rubbish that Klopp is not being backed or is being undermined by the owners as it is nothing but a worthless, dishonest trope to blame the owners as soon as things go south. We are having a bad season. The owners have NOTHING to do with it, IMO. And FSG helping us in getting a 4th CB would not have prevented all our other CB's are from being out for the season the way they did. We would still be in the mud like we are now.

"We got him Thiago" sounds like he's on the outside and you're on the inside. Most managers have a number of players under consideration and often don't get their first choice but that doesn't mean that they don't want the players they end up with. Off course FSG have constrained the transfer budget but who could have predicted the financial climate of the past twelve months.

I wish someone had convinced him not to sign Thiago 😂.

In a season when most things haven't clicked and most players underperforming, our focus have now turned to Thiago, is it? Surely, we ought to give the man more time.

LFCDas, Thiago is a brilliant footballer. We all know that. He is struggling in a struggling team and doing jobs that are out of his purview and ability as a player. TA was not brought in to be a water carrier or some hard man in midfield or some box to box player with energy to burn. We all know that BUT that does not stop the haters out there esp the shameless ones who actually know better, from slating him. And now the media have caught on and are now piling on.

I have read tonight how
Thiago is not good enough (he has made 9 PL appearances)
Kabak is not good enough (he has made 2 appearances) .

If I recall, it took Robbo 6 months to look good enough, it took Gini 18 months, it even took Bobby half a season/
They all worked out ok given time.
