Eds what would happen if Liverpool where to finish outside the Top4 this season but ended up winning the champions league? Would it be a repeat of 2005 when 5 teams from England got in, or would it be a team get moved into the Europa league to make way?

{Ed077's Note - Yes the top 4 and Liverpool all would go into the CL group stages. Liverpool would even be in Pot 1 for the GS draw in that scenario.}

Ed077 I thought UEFA said back In 05 that this case wouldn’t happen again and the winner would replace the lowest places league team instead.

Ed077 no worries mate. Organisations like uefa don’t normally make changes as they are run by dinosaurs. Good to hear though that for once common sense has prevailed. I still think there’s more chance of us finishing top 4 than there is wining the CL. To win the Cl we’re going to have to beat some very good teams.

{Ed077's Note - But if lets say Liverpool win the UCL and Arsenal win the EL but both finish outside top 4 then the the 4th placed team drops out of CL and goes into the EL group stages. UEFA have constantly been making changes and bringing new ideas and concepts into the table with the top sides around Europe to please them and try and stop the formation of the breakaway PAN-European league.}
