I have seen a few stories that FSG will consider sacking Klopp if results stay the same in the coming weeks and bring Gerrard in from Rangers. I do not believe that for a second but if they did it will not go down well at all. I have been a firm supporter of FSG but surely the only reason they would do that is money.

If Klopp is asking for money and making it clear he needs a few new players and FSG have said no that could cause issues. I would imagine Gerrard would jump at the chance of being Liverpool manager and would not do to much to rock the boat initially. As I said I believe this to be total media nonsense but it is appearing on more and more threads and sites that Klopp is in danger of being sacked if this form carries on.

It would be incredibly harsh and I do not see the benifit so have to believe this is media BS. But anything less than a win today and it will be interesting to see if anyrhing else is said . Klopp has done wonders and one bad season with a catastrophic number of long term injuries to key players should not lead to dismissal. However making it public you want a few new players that are not going to be funded may. And is Gerrard really ready for that job? Look at Lampard at Chelsea, it could end the same way if it happend . Klopp needs to stay and go again next season with a fully fit squad .

FSG would be foolish to let go of Klopp. There’d be a queue a mile long for his services if he left. Gerrard is still a rookie and managing in a farmers league, it would be catastrophic to get rid of Klopp and bring in Gerrard.

If FSG sacked klopp it would be one of the worst decisions the club have ever made! And why would SG walk out on winning the Scottish prem.

{Ed002's Note - FSG are not going to be considering sacking Klopp.}

Its business if FSG can't afford it they won't do it. They have rarely disappointed fans though. And have bought us success.
Also its FSG who appointed Klopp and I doubt they will make a nonsense decision like sacking him and paying him out when the money is already tight.

very foolish 6Times, more than likely that some people just want to put us down even more .
I see our ref for today Lee Mason has been withdrawn from our game,
he did seem to make a mess in the West Brom game yesterday .
got to win this game .

As I said I think its a load of media BS. I seem to recall similar stories about Pep last season before he signed a new contract . Any sniff of trouble and they are there fanning the flames. he's been a brilliant manager for us and will continue to be I am sure.

Cheers Ed002, much appreciated.

Would Gerrard take it? I do t think he would yet. I think he is aware of his current capabilities and would you really want to come in and follow Klopp with the club performing as they currently are? I think Gerrard will keep biding his time and learning before taking it on.

Imagine trading in a Ferrari for a second hand Ford Fiesta.

The story is actually that, if Klopp takes the Germany job at the end of next season (Low is in until 2022 World Cup) then FSG are apparently encouraged by Gerrard’s development so far to consider him replacing Klopp in 2022.

I’d hope Klopp lasts our until 2024, and the romantic in me would like to see Stevie take over if he has proved himself. He’d only be 44 and I’d love to see him build his own dynasty at Liverpool.

For that to happen (realistically) , I’d like to see Stevie take over and a mid table EPL side in 18 months time to show that he can do it in this league. Maybe someone like Southampton, for example. 2 seasons doing well with a limited budget and he will be in a good position.

Even if we finish 15th and Gerrard wins the title in the Scottish league, the level of their managing ability is simply not the same. FSG are no longer amateurs at the football game and know very well what it takes to win. If someone like Gerrard is signed as manager, it would signal to me that they were no longer serious about the club and see their exit on the near horizon.
