Ed1 as a long term partnership could you see Virgil and Phillips working?

VVD could carry anyone middle of the road CB to a decent level. That is one of the strengths of a great player: Making your team mates better than they actually are.

I love the passion he plays with tbh, looks like a dream come true for him. I dunno about a long term partnership with VvD, but certainly agree that if he's happy to we should have him as a back up CB.

I see no reason why it wouldn’t work. I can think of many successful centre half partnerships where a “Rolls Royce” centre half is successfully put together with someone who has a more agricultural approach.

I really don't see what Phillips has done wrong. I get that he may be slow or not as good with the ball or whatever, but c'mon it's not like Rhys Williams is david beckham hahaha.

Faithworks, there is quite a few things Phillips does wrong so let us not gloss over that just cos we want him to succeed. His flaws are all there for us to see and it will only help him to improve if we recognize them and call them out as that is the only way he can improve. Same goes for Kabak or any other LFC player.
