I think only 4 PL teams have sold their stadium naming rights. Much more common in Germany for example.

Hypothetical question: If we sold the naming rights to Anfield on a ten year deal for say 200m - 300m and the name was for example “Carlsberg Stadium” at Anfield and all the money helped fund Mega star players like Mbappe or Haaland.

I get your point Bc, but I think the brand ‘Anfield’ probably brings more money and publicity / customer awareness than naming rights ever would.
Rather like Old Trafford.
The names are synonymous with the respective clubs and cities the world over.
The values of history and tradition are assets that are not so easy to quantify but they definitely have huge value for LFC I think.

Young boys from Austria literally play in the **** bank arena I think we could cope with a sponsorship deal to most brands of mega money was involved.

If it were to happen it may get called 'Sponsor's Anfield stadium. As brom said we'd still call it Anfield and I think it'll happen eventually. It's another way for clubs to squeeze money out the brand.

As long as its not something stupid like sports direct arena I'm all good!
