Amid the furore of the konate rumours I reckon whoever signs ( if any) the club will buy kabak too. Just a feeling.

I just can’t see it, it’s a lot of money for a fourth choice centre back, well it is when we have hardly any money and we could keep Phillips for free.
Unless the club see him as a long term option for the first team next to Konate.

Sell Phillips and use the money for Kabak.
He looks a better all-round player, quicker and more suited to Klopp than Phillips.

I think Phillips will be sold. I'd definitely keep him, I think he's shown he's good enough. But he could move and be a starter at prem or maybe even bundesliga where he's played before.

Odds on that we’d sell Phillips to Burnley for pennies and then they go on and flog him for £30-40m. That would be typical.

Looks like Konate could be the starter Klopp wants so maybe him and Virgil with Kabak and Gomez as back up. Perhaps Phillips sold, among others to see this - would def be a strong line-up to have for our CB position next season, esp given we don't know how much time Gomez and VVD need to get back to their best.

Bill, that prospective CB line up sounds good to me.
I’d be very happy with that.
Multi partnerships possible there, and even full back cover if required.

Yes, looks like Konate and Kabak (2nd and 4th CB) will be the incomings, and Matip and Philips will be moved on.

I've said it before, so I'll say it again, LOL. Konate's injury record is a concern. That's it.
