Morning Ed001 hope you're good. Wanted to ask your thoughts on us making an Ox type signing looking at Maitland-Niles and Nketiah?

{Ed001's Note - are either of them good enough? I am not so sure they are. Surely if you are buying from Arsenal it is Saliba, Smith-Rowe or Saka?}

Both are not good enuff, OP. Nowhere near, IMO. Saka on the other hand? True baller. Not seen Saliba play so no opinion of him.

Ed0001 would love Saka. For me he kills 4 birds with one stone. He can play left back, left wing, he is very young so one for now and the future and is also homegrown so a def win win for me.

I think that was what a lot of people thought when we signed Ox including myself! I like Maitland-Niles he could provide cover in both fullback positions and if anyone can develop him in to a good centre mid it would be Klopp. With Nketiah I haven't seen much of him this season but he seems to have good potential and maybe as a Div replacement. I think their value would hold being English if it doesn't work out and they would improve our homegrown numbers.

Saka would be the dream but surely there would be no way they sell him. It would be like if we sold Trent a few years ago I can't see it happening unless Arteta is that clueless.

Saka would be an unbelievable signing, is he someone Liverpool are looking at Ed’s?
Wouldn’t mind the idea of Maitland-Niles, he’s versatile so would be a decent back up player and good for cup games.

Sorry XabiAlonso14, Maitland Niles is nowhere near Ox’s ability when he was at Arsenal. The guy rejected a new deal with higher wages with Arsenal as well as the PL champions Chelsea at the time, to come to us. Did that happen to Maitland Niles? Did any big clubs come in for him before he went to relegation fodder West Brom? False comparison, bro.

As for Nketiah again, not good enuff and I have seen him play. Championship material who is not even better than Big Div ability wise anyway. If we want good young players, we can do much better than those if we actually bothered to look. I am sure of it.

Martinelli is someone from Arsenal I'd consider to be the addition to our forward line this summer. Get the Samba Scousers to tap the kid up.
Saka no chance, he will be there for a while and leave eventually when he realizes the Gooners are a lost cause.
