Ed’s please tell me a team has interest in naby keita?

I think he could be a great player, but Liverpool isn’t working out for him. Time for him to be moved on. The racist abuse he suffered (along with Trent I believe) is absolutely disgusting and in no way shape or form do I condone racism.
On the other hand I do condone people questioning him as a player because he’s been far from good for Liverpool. He’s had his moments but he simply needs to be sold!

Bissouma and De Paul to replace naby, Wijnaldum and Ox/ Milner.

{Ed002's Note - The player has been nothing but trouble since he first agreed the move and spent a final year at RBL. He has not adapted in England and has failed to perform consistently when given the chance. Liverpool need to cut their losses but it will be difficult to find a buyer at a reasonable price and not all countries would be willing to grant him a Work Permit - which would limit interest and where he could move to.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Best for all parties if he finds himself another club.
Totally disgusted to hear about the racist abuse though.

Thank you Ed.
Can you see the club pushing to find a buyer for him?

{Ed002's Note - I think the club would be open to offers for him but it will be finding an interested side.}

Not even suprised about the racist stuff. Why can't a crap player just be a crap player without skintone being referred to. All faith in naby is diminished for me but I can't imagine a team silly enough to shell out any money for him and I'd be amazed if Edwards can pull off a miracle and get the amount we no doubt would want for him.

As for replacements? Bissouma hasn't done near enough for me to be considered, there is always a one season wonder who fades after one good season, rememebr when everyone was clamouring for doucoure?

I think Bissouma is ideal for us, gives us energy and technical ability. Gini had a good season at Newcastle we signed him and he’s been very good for us (apart from this season imo) . Bissouma would be a good option to have in the squad, but unless Brighton need to sell (which I don’t think they do? ) we’d have to pay 30 million + for him, is he worth it? I’m not sure.
But I’d love Bissouma at the club.

{Ed002's Note - Yves Bissouma (CM/DM) Brighton will resist any approaches. He shares and agent with Pepe who he spent a season with at Lille and the agent failed to persuade Arsenal to move for him - and since then they have signed Partey and a change in the decision process at Arsenal means any move is unlikely. He is another who would be off to the Africa Cup of Nations in January 2022 and not Home Grown makes him less attractive to most English sides although Liverpool and Leiester have spoken with his representative.}

One of the biggest acts of hosery in modern day society is online trolling. Naby along with many other players did not perform last night but its a game of football. Racial or threatening abuse has no place in football. If people wouldn't have the bottle to say it to that persons face then they shouldn't say it hidden behind an online identity.

07 Apr 2021 13:26:46
Thank you Ed.
Who would you look to sign for midfield?

{Ed002's Note - I think there is enough evidence to say that Curtis Jones should have a shot at replacing Wijnaldum.}

07 Apr 2021 13:27:41
All racists are known cowards and weaklings who couldn't say ANY of the insults they say on SM or behind their keyboards, to any of their targets in person. I have no respect for them cos they would never say any of that stuff to Naby or TAA's faces. Ignore them. They are not worth talking about.

Problem is nobody will want keita and I think it's the same with mane and Bobby who's going to want aging players past there prime? We're in real trouble.

07 Apr 2021 16:10:03
We're in real trouble - hahahahahaah, good one.
Lose a game and it's panic stations.
There will be buyers for all those players. just maybe not at prices fans want to see them sold for.
And I doubt Mane will be going anywhere, despite fans predicting/ demanding otherwise.

It's clear we need a rebuild flash we have no money and I don't see us selling anyone for a decent price bar Salah or Virgil so yeah going on this seasons performance I'd say we are in trouble ( compared to the last three years )

07 Apr 2021 20:05:26
We don’t need a complete rebuild, just treat it as a normal summer transfer window for me, find the weak areas in the squad and look to replace. This team fully fit is still arguably one of the best in the world. A few players need to go and a few need to be brought in that’s all.

I think a lot of work needs doing.

Wijnaldum is going, there’s the issue of the drop off in quality in central midfield when Henderson and Fabinho aren’t available, which is huge.

None of Keita, Milner, Ox or Shaqiri are good enough to play in centre midfield, either as long term starters or as a squad rotation, that’s been pretty evident all season, we’re still short of a centre back as going into the season with three was catastrophic, and both Mane and Firmino have fallen so far that they have offered nothing almost all season, I’m still of the opinion we should sell Mane to fund a top class centre forward as I don’t believe that he’ll recover his best form at his age.

Personally I’m not convinced by Bissouma, only one season in the league, Brighton don’t need to sell and they’ll be wanting absolutely stupid money for him, plus do we really want another player in a critical position who is going to disappear to the AFCON partway through the season?

{Ed001's Note - only one season? He was excellent last season as well for them. And he was there the season before too, though I can't remember what he played like then.}

07 Apr 2021 22:17:37
Meant he’d only really played one full season Ed, as he’d only started less than half the games in his previous ones.

I’m still not convinced that we should be spending big on a player who’s going to disappear to the AFCON mid season in such a crucial position, particularly given how weak we’ve been in midfield without Henderson and Fabinho and what a drop off in quality there’s been without them.

Plus, it’s clear me will have a ridiculous transfer fee because Brighton don’t need fo sell, so we should be scouting a bit further and wider.
