Hey Ed why do u think England have not produced an English manager that can win a league in 30 years?, you look at every other league in Europe and they have produced multiple managers from there own country who have won there own league .
Does this say English managers are inept? Or are there not enough being trusted?

I think Gerrard could win the league with Liverpool if he had the right back room staff just like when Dalglish took over he had the wisdom of all the backroom staff and the great Bob Paisley. With not the best team in the league we did the double that season and Everton did have the better team and the more experienced manager.

Amazing. Most of you guys would roll your eyes and make snide comments about a player being brought in from the Scottish leagues ("he has no experience in the EPL") but some of you would accept a still unexperienced manager from there? (I'm not being blasphemous because, for me, Gerrard the player has absolutely nothing to do with Gerrard the manager) .

Aray it’s probably to do with Stevie being a legend. If I came home early from work and found Stevie in bed with my wife I would tuck him in and offer to make him a cup of tea and full English.

I forgot to add in my comment that i for one at the moment do not want Gerrard to replace Klopp. But in fairness I don’t want anyone to replace Klopp. Sadly The time will eventually come where we will have to replace him and I’m sure Stevie’s name will be in the running. I’d like to see him take on another role in the premier league to prove himself more though but for him it would be a big risk. If he were to fail in that role then his name wouldn’t be in the running. I’m sure the owners are dreading the day they have to replace Klopp just as much as us fans are.

If Gerrard is to fail then I prefer he do it elsewhere and not with LFC. Question of maintaining his legacy and high regard with the LFC fans.

Not sure Gerrard is going to be wasting his time waiting with baited breathe for the LFC job to be open anytime soon. He has to make his own way and his own path in management and winning the Scottish PL against all odds is a good way to start, IMO.
