What is everyone's opinion on Saint-Maximin as a cheaper Mane alternative in case we decide to replace him?

Whenever I've seen him play (not too often, admittedly), he has been really good. He could improve his end product, but I am sure Klopp and his staff can improve that aspect of his game.

To me, he is a better option than someone like Adama Traore, who has next to no end product and seemingly has a big ego as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mane has been poor this season but there’s no denying in the past he’s been world class for us. If we want to compete for titles and CL again then we need someone who is capable of hitting those heights if they are to replace Mane.

Weirdly I just mentioned him on another post. I’m a fan. Especially lately he seems to have found some consistency. With good coaching and surrounded by better players I think he’ll do very well. Bit of a wildcard!

Far too inconsistent and Newcastle would want stupid money. I’d prefer us to avoid both of them.

God no td.

He has 3 goals this season. He scored 3 last season.

Lightening quick and a great dribbler but flatters to deceive.

Jota is Mane’s eventual successor.

ASM may not be the player we need to provide quality cover but quality on the bench does cost money and unfortunately that is just how the game is nowadays. Whether we buy a mane replacement or a viable option from the bench we will have to pay an amount which would be seen as obscene. The question is who?

17 Apr 2021 13:50:51
If Mane must be replaced then it's Ousmane Dembele for me. Can play on both wings, lightening fast, tricky if he wants to be, and can finish. But I know he'd be very expensive and Barcelona would be out of their minds to let him go in these uncertain times.

17 Apr 2021 14:01:17
ArAy only 1 year left on his deal so wouldn't be crazy money.

17 Apr 2021 14:11:48
Ousmane Dembele spends more time in treatment table then Naby lad. Think we've seen in the past Replacing like to like has never worked for us. Selling coutinho buying defender (VVD) and keeper (Alisson) was a master stroke for me.

I’d rather go for Pulisic.

17 Apr 2021 15:51:41
Seriously, Ousmane Dembele? he’s terrible. Absolute waster who has no end product, has serious fitness issues, is unprofessional to Naby Keita standards, has a terrible work ethic and has none of the attributes required to be a top class footballer.

{Ed0666's Note - dembele is a seriously woeful finisher also along with his other negative traits. I’d rather have raphinha who is premiership proven and the Brazilian lads will help him settle in. I think he could be a real superstar in a couple of years especially with kloppo miyagi’ing him. And he can play anywhere along the front 3 if I’m not mistaken

17 Apr 2021 16:08:44
I'd have to agree with stoneage, Pulisic for me.

17 Apr 2021 16:36:35
I agree with stone and stoneage, Pulisic all day long over someone like Dembele, Pulisic scares defenders, Dembele doesn’t,

17 Apr 2021 18:11:16
Okay fine. You guys win. I'll switch allegiance to Pulisic. Players who scare other players are exciting to watch. 😂.

17 Apr 2021 19:31:39
Pulisic looks like he has the beating of most defenders he faces. You cannot accuse Dembele of the same. Dembele has delusions of adequacy.

17 Apr 2021 20:08:50
Does anyone know how tall Dembele is?

{Ed0666's Note - taller than Eds 001. Not being funny but by the time you post this question wait for a reply you could have googled the answer

17 Apr 2021 22:33:08
He’s never been off the sick table long enough for anyone to measure him, Thunderbird.

18 Apr 2021 12:51:43
Really? Dembele? It must b a slow day on this forum.
