Tammy Abraham? It seems a bit left field but tuchel doesn't seem interested in using him and the lad is young English can find the net with head and feet. Wonder if we could pull of a suprise swoop.

I thought we are supposed to be signing first team quality players to improve the squad. The English Origi is not going to fix our problems.

He is better than origi and has more goals than Bobby. Not saying he fixes our problems but on form this season I'd prefer him over both Bobby and origi. and klopp could improve him leaps and bounds.

Much better than Origi, don't think he'd be a bad shout if we're not going big on a centre forward. People looked down their noses at signing Sturridge back in the day.

Not saying Abraham is a top striker but at least we'd have a forward that will get on the end of all the bloody crosses, plus he'd add to the English quota.
But could he press the way that's demanded in a Klopp team?

Haha no 666 just thought the original post kind of had a point, even if Abraham certainly wouldn't be my choice, the Madrid game got embarrassing after a while with the amount of decent crosses going in that we're attacked.

Not for me, okay-ish player but not nearly good enough for our 1st 11.

He can't even displace an ageing Giroud and Werner who has been so poor in front of the goal. He still has time on his side but I highly doubt he is going to make it at the highest level.

Players good with their feet, link play, work ethic will ALWAYS be what Klopp and co. will look at when they search for players in any position. A plan b striker will never fit in our system.

Firmino and Mane scored 27 in the league last year BETWEEN them, and 13 this year yet no ones good enuf for us.

Does someone have to be a 6 foot 4 brute like Carroll to get on the end of crosses. Agueros been doing it for years and look at Jota recently. its about being willing to attack the area to get on the endof them.

In fairness Ted, both Benteke and Carroll were both mid table donkeys, and we shouldn’t consider signing a player of that ilk, but there are some very good centre forwards out there who can both physically dominate centre backs and be mobile as well as having decent technique. And since we don’t have any creative outlet in midfield it makes some sense to have more options at the top end, given that both TAA and Robertson can ping a cross rather well.
