Better to be on the train looking out than on the platform looking in
We missed out in 92 and took this long to recover
All this was inevitable and we should be pleased to be in amongst
5 years ago we wouldn't be in with a shout.

That is a poor analogy, the premier league is flawed but is still a meritocracy, the six mentioned are hoping to swap it for autocracy. I'm try very hard to find a single example of that being beneficial to the average person .

This was always going to happen
Ask any top player away to Burnley (sorry Burnley) or away to juventus
Money talks and with the world growing smaller and all the broadcast platforms it was always on the cards.
It’s doesn’t mean I like it but you have to be pragmatic.

The fact that there doesn’t appear to be any German clubs part of this (yet, at least) is down to, I take it, their ownership model?

{Ed002's Note - German clubs are involved in the “elite” group and it is one of them that has asked for a meeting this week.}

Yeah it's almost as if we could have one or two european competitions to solve this, maybe call them the league of champions or something then the other one league of europe, and then maybe decide who gets in. based on domestic performances to keep the standards high or something!

{Ed002's Note - What?}

Thanks Ed002.
It’ll be interesting too see what comes of that.
If the Germans sign up, UEFA have a real problem on their hands.
Not that it isn’t already of course.

{Ed002's Note - There are other options that you cannot lose sight of - the 20/21 “elite” clubs include the German sides and they are trying to organise a meeting after word comes from UEFA tomorrow - which will address the 32 > 36 point and some r minor changes only.}

Ed2, thanks for all your info on the matter. This should not come as a surprised to many as you told us about this a long time ago before it started to reach main stream media. On the German clubs, not sure how they have remained hidden for lack of a better word from their involvement in discussions, not that it entirely matters. Although, it does appear that the media seem to be misinformed on all the clubs involved.

With a new structure to how things are being the natural progression, do you see UEFA offering a lucrative alternative to rival what’s being proposed by the European Super League? Or do you believe it’s only a matter of time regarding the planned breakaway?

{Ed002's Note - They have not been hidden from discussions, their discussions have been with the “elite” sides - this proposal does not come from that group. It is just one of a number of proposals that have been made. NUEFA will not easily offer up anything but they want to discuss matters and be involved with the “elite” side discussions this week - that is not related to Liverpool in any way.}
