So this Perez chap in Spain. Is he totally bonkers, or just trying out for the role of next Bond villain. He absolutley believes that the English clubs are still in this ESL, that he was right, that the fan reaction was made up and did not happen and that there will be no come back from any of this. Its great entertainment watching his interviews.

I think he suffers from delusion haha.

He is like every billionaire who doesn't like to be told what to do by the "peasants".

Don't you know, he is trying to "save football" ;)

According to his worldview, young people don’t like football, and video games like fortnite and call of duty are to blame. The Super League will fix that, and by bringing the standard of the games to a ‘higher level’ by destroying football, this will bring more people back to the sport, not push them away. I believe he also said he’d consider making the games shorter to cater to the ‘shorter attention spans of the younger generation’. On top of that, we were all apparently too stupid to understand it, we didn’t give them a chance to explain it properly, and his proposals are saving football, rather than destroying it irreparably.

Us little commoners just don’t know what’s good for us, do we.

The Donald Trump of football.
He was obviously onto a nice little earner somewhere along the line and doesn't want to lose out.
He'll soon find another trough to stick his snout in, the greedy little piggy.

The man just won re-election for another 4 year term as President; running unopposed. It is no wonder he talks and thinks the way he does when you consider that as part of the way the Spanish League media rights and revenues are set up, Real Madrid and Barcelona get 50% of the total revenues. Incredible. It will go down but that's where it is today. No wonder nobody else (aside from Atletico) in that league ever has a chance against both Real and Barca.

And to run for President, you have to provide a bank guarantee equal to 15% of the club's budget; in his case he has provided a guarantee of approx. 57 Million Euros. Hey, it's a rich man's game.

Oh, and Real Madrid is a registered non-profit organization. I've suddenly had a momentous epiphany. I want to be just like him. Earn and be worth that much wealth so that I too can serve in a non-profit organization. 😎.

I mean depending on how you look at it he is being pretty honest standing his ground not like fsg who are acting like they changed there mind and won’t still plot behind the scenes.

Jordz, you can't compare the two. He is Florentino Perez, President of Real Madrid. As untouchable as a man can be in Spain. The earlier comparison with Donald Trump was not that far off. Perez too could go down to the street, commit a crime and not have to answer for it. Our owners in Boston, on the other hand, have shown themselves to be back to being bumbling dunces and amateurs, just like at the beginning of their reign. Perez could say anything and just brush off any resulting flak. Our gang in Boston, on the other hand, have masterfully lost all credibility and goodwill they had built up. They bent because they lack the intelligence and fortitude necessary for their convictions.

To be honest I think Perez needs putting in an old persons home. He's losing the plot. He said 40% of kids don't watch football, well yeah Perez! 60% is still a lot of kids!

Not all kids are into sport, does he want all the goth kids and muso kids to be buying real Madrid shirts? Gimme a break!
