Can’t see this lot doing anything next season.

Agree2 Disagree0

They have it in them to win the league next year Peg with no signings at all.

It just takes a whole lot of work, concentration and a sprinkle of luck here and there particularly with injuries. .

We ve been humbled this season. We take it, learn from it and move forward. Quit being such a defeatist.

Klopp sure won't be crying it in.
Get the spine of the team back together, add a new face or two and we'll be good to go next season.

26 Apr 2021 17:48:38
Davey where are the goals coming from?

26 Apr 2021 17:58:32
From the same players that won the league last year mighty reds.

We know these players can do it. It's about getting the performance levels up.

26 Apr 2021 18:03:21
Also van dijk from corners at both ends could be huge next year again. It's all possible lads. Don't go from believers to doubters that quick.

26 Apr 2021 18:56:05
This side can’t win the league with no signings absolutely no chance. Man City and Chelsea will make signs.

VVD, Gomez Matip Phillips are you having a giraffe?
Gini has gone so who is going to stay fit in midfield?
Who is going to score the much needed goals?

The goal keepers even have a problem staying fit and Allison’s form have dropped 50%.

26 Apr 2021 19:11:02
Davey we don't score enough goals, plus Bobby as been poor for 18 months, Gini will be gone as will others, so its not going to be the same team that won the league, we need 3 or 4 signings to push players if we are to make a fist of it.

26 Apr 2021 19:17:06
I think you guys have very short memories. We have one of the best teams in world football when everyone is fit and it’s proper football with time to train and actual real life people watching.
This season is not a real season it’s been put on to keep us interested but if fans are back next season and the season starts and finishes at a normal time we’ll be up there.
To suggest anything else just shows a complete lack of understanding of what makes a top football team.

26 Apr 2021 19:30:28
Beckers its been the same for every team.

26 Apr 2021 20:48:37
The team will make changes anyway as it does every year but I think both you mark and you mighty reds have got too bogged down in this seasons results.

Ultimately you either take the viewpoint that this season is the players natural level and previous 3 to 4 seasons they were playing well above their natural level and that it was a fluke couple of years that they challenged for and won the league and champions league.

Or you take the viewpoint that this year is a down year and their natural performance level is in fact closer to that of previous years when they did challenge for the league.

I believe the latter. Clearly you are the former. And I certainly won't agree you that this group of players cannot challenge for the league if they play like they did last year.

This is my last comment on the matter. Feel free mark if you'd like to have the last smarky word if you like.

It's been the same for everyone, but it effects every team differently. For years it's been said that West Ham don't like playing at home, their fans make it difficult. look at them in the one season where there are no fans.

It'll make a huge difference to have fans back next year.

26 Apr 2021 21:04:55
Mighty it’s not the same for everyone.
We’ve seen some weird and wonderful results this season because football is a different game in front of fans. Like any sport is to be honest.
The teams that rely on intensity have struggled this season like Liverpool, Southampton and Sheff Utd. All have had a drop in intensity and lots of injuries. You could throw Spurs into that too but they have caused a lot of their own problems through poor decision making at the top of the club. Burnley are another.
City look like world beaters because they have the biggest squad so can rotate more and they play a more technical game with a slower build up and less high intensity sprinting.
I have absolutely no doubt that we will be back up there next season as long as things are back to normal. It might take us a month or two to get back up to speed but we definitely will.

26 Apr 2021 22:52:18
Mark08, you do talk some utter tripe at times! Alissons form has dropped 50 percent? Absolute rubbish. It's the defence that has been awful not our keeper.

27 Apr 2021 12:55:52
We will be stronger in midfield with Gini gone, might actually get someone in there to score some goals, give Ox and Jones game time instead of 1 dimension Gini.

{Ed0666's Note - I’m not sure the Ox is the answer to our midfield woes
