First Leeds fans, then Chelsea fans now Manchester Utd fans protesting and showing their displeasure and the power of unified voices.
For all of our posturing about having the best supporters, what have we done?
Especially considering that JW Henry was the chief instigator.
We moan about oligarchs ruining the game but not one of Abramovich, Man City nor PSG wanted to take part in the ESL. No, it was our owners that were prepared to sell the clubs soul and we have let them do it with barely a whimper.
The football this season has left me empty. This latest turn of events has left me ashamed.
I am done, this is the end of my love affair with football and LFC because I would not let someone I love treat me this way.
Adios amigos.

Stop being such a drama queen!

02 May 2021 15:45:05
There's a time and place to do it, the players and coaching side shouldn't be effected for something out of their control.

For the owners to listen you have to hit them in their pockets, a bit of bad PR won't do anything as their reputations are already through the floor due to the ESL plans.

02 May 2021 15:54:40
Let’s save it until we’re allowed back in the stadiums, no point giving the scumbags in the press any ammunition.

02 May 2021 15:57:17
No better way to flounce than to announce it. Why would we take over the pitch and cause disruption to the players and management? They've done nothing wrong. As has been said above hit the owners in the pockets, when fans are finally allowed back in then show the displeasure felt by boycotting the game. Only thing they'll understand or care about is the lack of money coming in.

02 May 2021 15:58:40
Not being a drama queen at all. Being an LFC fan used to mean something. Being from Liverpool used to stand for something. The amount of rubbish we have had to take over the years, some of it deserved, some of it not and we are letting FSG think they have our backing by staying silent while other fans are voicing their displeasure.
Agreed we should hit them in their pockets but that will not happen. Let’s wait and see what happens as soon as the season tickets go on sale.

Pretty happy we haven’t acted like some of those Utd fans today to be honest.

02 May 2021 16:11:26
OP who are you trying to kid with your silly statement regarding the chelsea and Man city owners regarding there involvement in the ESL? they readily agreed to join the ELS and will join it tommorow given the crazy money on offer.

The very fact LFC fans have not stormed the pitch or gone down to the training ground to protest does not mean they are not happy, The Owners are not there so why should the playing staff and Manager suffer?

The actions of these so called utd fans is a utter disgrace.

I would be interested to hear what Saint Rio and Gary Neville have to say about this given the self righteous rants we heard from both of them about the ESL.

02 May 2021 16:18:28
We have been tarnished by fans in the past, man city's bus sticking out in particular, but these actions are often by a minority that use protests as a way to cause harm or damage.

There is a way to do it imo, and tbh I am not 100% sure what it is but it's not breaking in the ground or punishing players or staff for the actions of those right at the top of the club.

02 May 2021 16:19:14
Look im against super league but neither city, chelsea nor psg need money from sl. they have their own oil bank.

02 May 2021 16:20:42
If what Neville said about FSG is true then nobody on here who professes to love Liverpool FC in anyway shape or form should darken the doors of Anfield until they're gone. Nobody. Keep it empty until they're gone.

{Ed0666's Note - what did Neville say about FSG...?

02 May 2021 16:36:36
Neville is being disingenuous here. He’s been pretty much supportive of the Glazers up until the ESL debacle.

{Ed0666's Note - Neville and disingenuous are two words that go hand in hand

02 May 2021 17:14:31
He said "FSG tried to furlough staff and players (behind the scenes), tried to reduce the wages of them all, also about project bigfoot and now this with the super league thing". I don't know if it's true or not to be honest but it's not great behaviour in my opinion if it is.

{Ed0666's Note - oh that’s common knowledge they did this brazenly for the world to see.I thought you had some juicy gossip that no one knew about 😂

02 May 2021 17:15:58
The OP is comparing different situations as if they are the same. The Chelsea protest was at a home game when their club were still in the ESL, I didn’t see any Chelsea protests before the game yesterday. The Leeds protest was a handful of people booing Liverpool players. This United protest is primarily against the Glazers who have been bleeding their club dry for years. As much as I want FSG to sell up they have been far better owners than the Glazers.

{Ed0666's Note - The Glazers have provided infinite transfer funds since they bought the club which is what any manager and fan would desire. How have FSG been better owners than the Glazers? FSG have saddled plenty of debt on the club and will recoup when they sell.

02 May 2021 15:50:02
If our fans did what the United fans did today you'd probably condemn it. The owners won't be leaving anytime soon unfortunately because they can't exactly advertise the club on eBay for a quick sale.

02 May 2021 18:43:07
Was/ Is it common knowledge? Didn't know that.

02 May 2021 18:43:07
Was/ Is it common knowledge Ed066? Didn't know that.

{Ed0666's Note - unless I’m missing something

02 May 2021 19:23:44
As a fan I think investing in club infrastructure, such as a new stand or training ground is just as important as spending money on shiny new players.

{Ed0666's Note - that’s why you have executives to make these decisions. Instead of spunking gazzilions on non performing mercenary’s budget some money from transfers for modern training facilities.

02 May 2021 19:26:37
The OP got his facts straight. Thanks Ed 666. Sick of hearing how FSG have saved us and we could not expect better owners.
They are venture capitalists, expecting them not to chase money is like putting a fish in the penguin enclosure and telling them not to eat it.
They are circling the ESL like sharks, it fits their brief, they are used to the setup - a limited team, no promotion/ relegation league and next time there will be no u-turn. If we don’t speak up now and try to take control back, we will never have the opportunity again.

{Ed0666's Note - I suspect the owners are here for a while my friend

"The OP got his facts straight"

Are you referring to yourself in the third person or did you forget to change accounts?

Either way it doesn't look great.
