Hey Ed’s. Long time supporter ( clue in the name! ) first time poster. By far the best of all sites so well done. Just wanted to hear your views on the media coverage at the moment, all we see is Neville and Carragher berating owners and telling them to leave, but what do they think will happen with new owners? Sounds like Neville wants some billionaire with £3bn lying around to buy the club and hand over running of the club! Am I missing something. why is nobody asking him for his magical blueprint.

{Ed0666's Note - welcome on board heighway. I’m probably the last person to ask about Carra and Neville as I’m not a fan of either because I feel that Sky are indulging them and have made them feel indispensable. Neville pretty much endorsed a violent protest yesterday and no one at Sky yet he still has a job. If that was a player or ex player of less repute what would be the consequences? I’m not absolving carragher of any blame here either. I just don’t understand why you can protest peacefully in huge numbers why use violence? This is only football lives don’t depend on it. Man United is a super attractive club for any multi billionaire to want and I’m sure their won’t be a lack of interest.

There's a twist to all this Ed0666. The requirement now is not only a multibillionaire with 3-4 billion spare in his pockets, but one who is also willing to let the fans be involved, and even dictate, the decisions on his investment and his money. Good luck with that, if you recognize which year and which century we are living in. I'm not promoting the Super league idea one bit, but I'm also damn sure the idea of finding a "benevolent billionaire" is wholly immature and stupid. It's never happening. Nor is it possible to tell an investor/ owner "hey we don't like you, we never have, sell your investment because you've made enough money and get out of town now". The correct path is probably somewhere in between there somehow. But it's not stampeding into grounds before games and causing monetary damage to teams, broadcasters and causing havoc in already packed schedules.

{Ed0666's Note - I’m not sure how much input the chelsea or Man City fans have yet their fans seem reasonably happy. I don’t think fan inclusion is an an imperative for new owners of soccer clubs as long as owners are transparent and communicative.
