Its funny seeing how the best European sides don't have a clue how to deal with prem sides, how the tables have turned and its obvious why the likes of Madrid, juventus, etc want the ESL because the likes of city, Chelsea with there money plus winning money are in danger of pulling away .

They certainly seemed to have the measure of us.

Yes but it shows over the course of 1 season how far we have fell and united, city, Chelsea have overtaken us and we are back shopping in poundstretcher.
Shows we have not been professional in our defence of the league and we aren't built to consistently win when in all honesty best placed we have been for 30 years to stay at the top of the tree.

So do you expact us to finish behind chelsea and utd next season then? Lfc fans love a bit of negativity these days don't they. i don't know what signings will be made in the summer but as things stand, right now i would expect to finish ahead of both.

One bad season and the moaners show their true colours.

It’s not going to get any better next season without some changes, none of Mane, Salah or Firmino are getting any younger, if our midfield is stripped of Henderson and/ or Fabinho we may as well not bother playing with any midfielders and then there’s the defence and injury issues. Consider the fact that United, City and Chelsea are each looking at spending £150m-£200m+ in the summer and it just doesn’t make next season look very positive at all, given that we’re skint and miracles don’t happen.

{Ed0666's Note - I bet youre the star turn at funerals. How do you know those teams are gonna spend £150/£200 million in the summer each? And what’s to say we won’t buy Somoure or Bissouma, Konate and a goalscoring forward, VVD back to his vintage best and get our mojo back.? Regardless of what the naysayers tell you we lost out on the top 4 because we didn’t have a central defense for the most part of the season. You think with VVD, Gomes or Matip we wouldn’t have finished at least 4th? Trust in the process, trust in Klopp and most of all trust in you’re team.

Thunderbird forgive me for moaning but if I am not mistaken we are currently 7th and only won one home game since late December, should I have the party poppers out .

Ed0666, City always spend big and since they mugged UEFA in the CAS they’re just going to stick two fingers up and spend a record sum, Chelsea always spend big and they’re now aware that FFP is meaningless, the Glazers are desperate to get the fans back onside so will throw an absolute fortune at it mark my words, there’s literally no guarantee that VVD will be back to his best and if he goes to the Euros he’ll likely trigger the injury again, Gomez is too injury prone to be relied upon, Somoure is an unknown quantity and is as likely to be a Naby Keita as anything else, Brighton don’t need to sell Bissouma, we have a load of players to shift with almost no value or interested buyers in the market and we literally do not have the money to sign a goal scoring forward player of any repute, and Salah is now puttting around that he wants to go apparently, but other than that, yeah, next season is going to be great isn’t it?

{Ed0666's Note - blow me you are half glass empty mate...lol. What makes you think FSG won’t spend big to appease the fans in the same way as the glazers will? What’s to say any of the players that United, Chelsea and city sign won’t be unknown quantities and be as useless as keita? Maybe VVD comes back roaring next season and doesn’t go to the euros. Maybe Gomes has an injury free season, maybe Micheal edwards works his magic and gets money for some of our highly paid dross? Maybe Salah stays another season because mbappe doesn’t got to Madrid? Stop with the negativity mate it’s football anything can happen. And that means positive things also.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to give up drinking.

Under Klopp Liverpool have had five years of continuous progress and one down year and it’s all doom and gloom. A couple of years ago Chelsea won the league, the next year they finished 10th and the following year they won the league again. Nothing in football is a good or bad as it seems. All the moaning about this season sounds like a bunch of self entitled modern fans who overreact to every setback.

The negativity is killing me. The first time we have had a down season under Klopp where we went from also rand to the top of domestic, European and Wirkd Club football and just cos we had a season decimated with injuries and poor form, some of the fans have already downed tools and lost faith. Good thing Jlopp and the players did not have such defeatist mentality cos they would never have gotten us where they got us. Sad.
