Hi Ed002, just wondering if there is any significant interest in Sadio Mane from any clubs and whether the player and his entourage are looking at a move away from Liverpool?

If this were the case what fee (only circa) would Liverpool potentially be looking at?

If things did not go to plan for the likes of Barcelona with their plans it may be possible that someone like Dembele could be part of any deal. I would think it most unlikely that any club are looking to spend a significant amount on him. The higher-profile sides have clear targets already.}

Past it at 29.Every chance with a good start, full crowds and having the likes of Virg, Hendo and Joe back in the building the likes of Manè could be re-vitalised. I wouldn't be letting him go on the cheap, either get a fair price for a player who's been considered the best in his position throughout his time here or keep him. I know people will say we have to sell while we can but we shouldn't be panicking either.

I don’t believe in miracles and its clear he’s lost his pace, a trip to the AFCON isn’t going to help him next season and wingers rarely get better as they get to 29/ 30. The sensible thing to do is try and sell now and use the money to bring in forward who can actually score and improve our starting 11.

Remember Ben Johnson? He said the only person not on the juice, in his famous 100m final race, was the man with the starter pistol and I think it was the same until Mr Bolt arrived.

It’s not his pace I’m worried about it’s his decision making! Classic example was against newscastle when he should of shot but tried to take it around the keeper.

Hopefully next season is a fresh start and he draws a line under it.

I suppose the difference between professional footballers and sprinters is that footballers' bodies go through more wear and tear on a more routine basis than sprinters do so may start to decline from their physical peak at an earlier age.

Watched goal rush on lfctv earlier and forgot that Mane actually had a pretty good first half of the season. I would keep him, let him rest in the summer, a proper pre-season and hopefully he will get back to his best👍.

{Ed001's Note - by the way, just to point out there is nothing alleged about Lewis being on PEDs, he had previously been banned in college athletics for failing drugs tests and in the final Johnson was disqualified he also failed the test. If I remember correctly, just 2 runners didn't fail the test in the final. One of them (I can't remember which one it is now) still claims to be the fastest non-cheat ever. If he stinks the place out his worth will be negligible but if he needs a rest after 4 solid years of footy and comes back rejuvenated then he he be like having a 100 million pound footballer back in our ranks. I don’t think we’d get a lot for him at 29 and high wages in these times 👍.
