General footy related question for the Ed's or knowledgeable posters.
Just before a sub comes on, an assistant seems to spend ages instructing them via laminated pages or a tablet.
What are they instructing them? I'm assuming it's just something like position to take up on a corner or something as I would assume they know how to play the position they're about to take up?
Sometimes this happens when there's just a few minutes left on the clock. Seems over the top, but what do I know?

Bit of common sense really pal! All depends where u stand in the game and what u want out of it!
I got took off one time and then brought back on as a keeper because we’d no sub keeper! Winning 2-0 we lost 6-2 I’ll never forget the abuse!
