Lad's it wasn't just the result today but the fact that we got one over on that anti football dinosaur. Or am I being harsh on him🤔.

Agree23 Disagree0

I think your being rather kind!

16 May 2021 22:56:03
First half we should of scored at least 3, its hard because the young lads at the back are playing under immense pressure which will be good for them in the long run but they looked nervous at times, curtis jones should be as close to the goal as possible because his best attributes are attacking running at players and shooting from range .

16 May 2021 22:56:29
His interview was pure gold, his contempt for Liverpool is pathetic.

I think he’ll be having a few extra grams of salt in his bedtime gravy boat tonight.

16 May 2021 23:13:18
Cee U Next Tuesday, Fat Sam.

{Ed0666's Note - why where you guys going? 😂

16 May 2021 23:27:31
I thought WBA played well, first half especially.
They gave the two young CBs the type of examination that they’d get if they were playing together week after week, for those who ask what may have happened if we’d just went with them in the first place.
There’s too much analysis these days, no one gets a bye.
So that three points was really earned and everyone deserves credit, especially Alisson.
Why does Allerdyce dislike Liverpool so much, does it all go back to Rafa’s days?

{Ed0666's Note - he was allegedly xenophobic towards Rafa wether that’s true or not I don’t know.

16 May 2021 23:59:30
Allardyce has always been in Fergie's clique. Back in the day there was a group of Premier League managers who Fergie was very close to including Allardyce and Moyes. Whenever there was beef between Fergie and Rafa, it was not uncommon for them to give their opinion, of course in support of Fergie .

I once served at a Fergie charity dinner and a few of them turned up. Fergie was a gent to be fair and Alex McLeish one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. But Big Sam, well, he was one of the worst customers I have ever served. Very rude and obnoxious.

17 May 2021 04:11:08
He has been relegated now. He has lost to klopp. He might be throwing a fit and tantrum in the measly pubs of bromowich.

17 May 2021 07:31:33
Sam had drawn his last 5 games against LFC. WBA are a team of championship players and they created nearly as many good chances as we did. We only managed 4 shots on target. Our cb’s were all over the place, he exposed our weaknesses I see nothing wrong in that. WBA probably deserved a point overall, we got lucky.
Made up for Allison but it’s pointless if we don’t win the next 2.

17 May 2021 07:40:32
I’ve always like Sam I think he’s a brilliant wind up merchant, tactically he’s good too. I think the league would be boring if every manager played the same way. His Bolton or Pulis’ Stoke you need one or two in the league as horrible as they are to play against.

17 May 2021 07:53:12
markp08- finally abit of common sense on the situation. I like it.

17 May 2021 07:55:50
Much easier to create good chances against a team that isn’t entirely camped on their 18 yard line isn’t though Mark?

I think you just about shade for the crown of most negative supporter. We bloody won (again) and took another vital step towards securing top 4.

Just be happy for once.

17 May 2021 08:05:20
In the first half alone we should have scored 3 goals. Mane and Firmino should have both scored.
2nd half Wijnaldum and TAA both should have scored.
Thiago i am sure would have been dissapointed he did not score with the first shot he had that he curled wide, i would expect any half decent keeper to have saved his second shot but at least it was on target.
We totally deserved this victory but before the next game we need shooting practise.
Fat Sam should just be grateful he still has a job in football after his antics as england manager, the day west brom sacked bilic and appointed this out of date relic they doomed themselfs.

17 May 2021 08:36:27
Haway Shaq we are playing West Brom who are relegated. We should be all over them. But we like to do it the hard way and we have to win the next 2 games. I am made up but no point going ott or the come down after Wednesday will be even worse. What do you want me to do just say the same as everyone else? How boring. If most of the posts had been negative I would have put a more positive spin on it. As for bashing Sam and West Brom not for me.

17 May 2021 09:00:38
Tell that Chelsea who got thumped 5-2 by them.

They were resolute but we got the 3 points and that’s all that matters. I can’t remember a positive post from you when there’s been plenty of negativity to counteract.

I haven’t suggested bashing big Sam in my post at all. I was just pointing out it’s easier to create chances against a team trying to win a game. That’s not a slight, it’s a fact.

17 May 2021 09:14:37
Vital win, sensational way to win it and, despite the contentious circumstances with refereeing and VAR, I think a Liverpool win was a fair result.

But the performance did rather typify some of our problems this season, particular looking back to that terrible mid-season run. 76% possession. That is an overwhelming level of dominance of possession and territory that led to us getting into promising attacking positions time and time again. However, until the 95th minute winning goal from our goalkeeper, we had managed to score one goal from all of that possession and territory, whilst also conceding one at the other end.

17 May 2021 09:15:31
You need to read my post then about how I expected Liverpool to beat West Brom by 2 goals. It’s in our Hands let’s go and get it.
Or the one before praising Firminos performance just when we needed it. Don’t just pick out one or two posts that suit your agenda. Read my last few posts and then I will accept your reply. Peace.

17 May 2021 09:26:08
I actually agree with Mark08 on the point that they created as many chances as we did and they made things tough for us so I agree there. Our CB's did not have a good game either and we looked a bit jaded through out the game, IMO.

That said, we should have scored 3 goals in the first half hence, our issues in front of goal are still there. Also, there was some poor decision making in the final third and even tho TAA had a solid game, I felt his decision making in the second half moment where he chose not to square the ball and went for the shot, was poor. Mane the same. Still a tough road to the top 4 BUT we keep the dream alive. As for Big Sam, is anyone surprised?

17 May 2021 10:20:25
It will be exciting if nothing else Oli. It’s a massive week coming up. I don’t blame the cbs at all they are doing their very best you can’t really ask for more. Thiago has joined the party just at the right time. Hopefully he can play to that level again in the next 2 games. I expect Gini back in for Jones.

17 May 2021 10:38:46
To the OP, in the continuous loop that is time, when the dinosaur archeologists were digging in what would become England, they found Fat Scam's bones.

So he's not just a dinosaur, but the dinosaur's dinosaur.

17 May 2021 10:59:25
nothing in football is guaranteed so to all those who believe we should roll this side over or that side we are Liverpool every team we play ups their game by some it’s never easy. Yes we have better players but the constant oh it’s only WBA or Burnley or Real Madrid we should be beating these sides frustrates outta me. Other teams are allowed to play well and win too
Up the pool.

17 May 2021 11:19:41
Brilliant Zed.

17 May 2021 12:43:42
if you can't ask the young CBs for anymore than they're giving then let's not give them any criticism. They are hanging in there and doing enough to give our attack a chance to win the points.

for me, top 4 or not, I'm with the team all the way. Time to put football manager down and just support the lads. does care if you think that is blind loyalty or whatever, the time for critique can come later. Right now the lads are in a fight and are showing they're up for it, while some of you are showing your wimpishness. yup that's a word.

come on the boys!

17 May 2021 13:09:15
I agree with mark, that was yet another recurring performance of this season, bar Allison scoring a miracle goal in the last minute of injury time we were about to complete yet another 1-1 draw with a drab performance, with little changes creates. We didn’t drop points and we won so obviously I’m over the moon, but with some perspective, I’m still very worried for our last two games, since these are the types of teams we have struggled against. Once we achieve top 4, I’ll let my hair down and stop being as pessimistic as I have been but I can’t fault anyone that has a ‘negative’ perception off the back of a very bad season.

I for one will give fat Sam stick though, as I hate that clique of managers.

17 May 2021 13:46:02
Fully agree with you, Mark. To clarify, I was not slagging off the CB's at all. Yeah I felt they were poor in certain moments BUT nothing I did not expect cos they are doing their utmost best. The fact that Phillips started and finished the game with a bloody lip is testament to the mentality. On to Burnley.
