Big changes needed in midfield for next season so these are names linked in media

De Paul

I'd like Bissouma, Phillips and Camavinga.

{Ed0666's Note - Bissouma and Nehaus for me. That would revolutionize our midfield for the next 5 years. Slum ours is off to Leicester.

Bissouma is a must for me. Think Neuhaus is a good player as well, so good shout. That being said Camavinga, don’t you feel he is an exceptional young talent? If he was available would you not go for him as opposed to Nehaus, or it’s Nehaus for you as you feel the young lad at present is not ready for such a step up?

Think Bissouma is a must as he’s capable of playing the box to box role and play the holding role. He’s technically very good too. With a bit of fine tuning from Klopp and playing around better players he’ll comfortably fit in at Liverpool.

I’d love us to sign De Paul, think he’d be the perfect player to play no10 in a 4-2-3-1. Think he’d be wasted in a 4-3-3. So he’d only be worth signing if we’re looking to play 4-2-3-1 more regularly next season.

Neuhaus would also be a great singing, very very good footballer. Great passer and a great dribbler, think he’s fairly solid defensively too. Only issue with him is he’s not the most mobile of players. But he’d be a great signing.

One not mentioned that I’d sign any day of the week is Marcos Llorente. The guy is unbelievable, he’s played in numerous different positions and I think he’d be great in a 4-3-3. He’s a very well rounded player. Very good on the ball and has good end product too. Him and Bissouma would my midfield signings this summer.

Think any 2 of the 4 mentioned and we’d improve our midfield. As previously said Bissouma and llorente would be my picks, between them they can cover CDM, CM, CAM.

Obviously you never listened to klopp the other day when he said there won’t be the big overhaul we expect and that if we do dip into the market it will be towards the end of the window. Probably end up with couple of relegated players.

17 May 2021 17:58:48
Agree with Ed0666. Neuhaus and Bissouma both would be ideal.
Imagine the midfield options: Hendo, Fab, Jones, Thiago, Neuhaus, Bissouma. We could actually see Klopp play a first team worthy midfield in every game of a season with those options.

17 May 2021 18:47:33
I think because he plays in a poor league not enough is talked about de paul. He is exceptional and very good at breaking play. Could be an excellent player under klopp system.

Carlos soler can also be an excellent buy. He has done quite well in a poor valencia team and he can find the back of the net.

Ofcourse then their is goncalves from sporting who is another goal scoring CM but i haven't watched him

I want us to have a look at an attacking midfielder also and one one for the future could be adil aouichiche from ettiene. Of all the french kids he has the purest touch and ball control.

Also if we can budget it sven botman and silva (one at frankfurt) is an excellent window.

Although he hasn't kicked a ball yet for us i don't think konate is right choice. I purposely watched leipzig vs Wolfsburg and that didn't show me anything to suggest to spend on him might be because he is returningfrom injury.

lot of people admire bissouma but i think he looks superb is quite an okish brighton team don't think he can adjust to the demands of a bigger club. Also he is another who hardly scores or assists. We already have too many midfielder who don't do that. We need someone who is very attack minded and direct in the midfield.

My pick is de paul for CM
aouichiche as AM LW
Batman as CB
Silva ST.

{Ed002's Note - De Paul does not play in a porr league. The ignorance and arrogance is overflowing.}

Do you think we will get one or two midfielders Ed? Ideally I think we could do with two although the second is not a priority. I don't think we would have the money for two and it also depends on if we can make room with sales.

{Ed0666's Note - I think we’ll get one for sure to replace Gini and other midfielders coming in depends on departures. Personally I’d let Keita, Ox, the guy on loan at Porto or Berlin whose name escapes me leave and try and bring in elite midfielders like bissouma and nehaus who can interchange with Jones, hendo, Milner, fab, Thiago.

17 May 2021 16:50:36
Ed, I think you mean Soumare is off to Leicester.

{Ed0666's Note - Thankyou for pointing that out to me yes that’s exactly whose moving to Leicester

17 May 2021 19:41:20
My midfield 3 next seaso would be Fab, Hendo, Tiago whenever possible. I hope Jones gets some more gametime too.

I'm intrigued to know who people are replacing in our midfield if we sign 1 or 2 new midfielders?

I see Fabinho as someone who HAS to play, Hendo is our captain, and Tiago is a worldie.

I know we'll have injures and need to rotate but not sure if we could sign 2 world-class CMs who'd want to play ever week.

17 May 2021 20:02:10
Judging by past seasons though Hendo and Fabs won’t stay fit all season. Jones I am not sure if he is good enough yet and Milner will play less and less. Ox and Kiera can’t be trusted.

17 May 2021 20:03:48
Yeah i agree, i think one midfielder would be enough for the upcoming season, just to take Gini’s place in the squad.

We’d get more utility out of Bissouma alone than we do out of Ox and Keita combined. Plus he can cover for Fabinho. It’s a no brainer for me.

17 May 2021 20:21:11
We need to get some goals from midfield Fab Hendo and Thiago managed 2 goals and 1 assist between them this season.
Gungodan De Bruyne and Da Silva managed 30 goals and 30 assists
Fernandes Pogba and Mc Tominay managed 41 goals and 24 assists.

As good as we think our three are we can certainly improve.
Bissouma is another that doesn't score goals, I wouldn't entertain him.

17 May 2021 20:57:34
I agree with Maximosa that Fabs, Thiago and Henderson is an excellent midfield, and I'd think it's potentially as good as any in the world if they got regular games together and clicked. But we can't expect them to play every game though, even if they all perfect injury records. Which they don't. With Gini leaving, we'll have Milner, Keita, Ox and Jones left to back up the first choice 3. Whilst that's fine in terms of the pure number of bodies, Keita is constantly injured, is lazy when fit and should be sold, Klopp clearly doesn't rate Ox anymore and Milner will turn 36 next season.

It's worth noting that Gini hasn't looked interested for over half the season, yet he's played regularly due to the unavailability of other options. Therefore he will need to be replaced. Bissouma is a good candidate.

In an ideal world I'd also offload Ox and Keita and bring in someone like Neuhaus, de Paul or Sabitzer who are more attack minded, but I don't think the finances will stretch to it given we have other areas to look at too. It would also impede Jones' progress.

17 May 2021 21:58:05
I would go for De Paul and Neuhaus. I think we will only get one though.

17 May 2021 20:09:23
I agree Ed. I think it is time now for Keita, Ox and Grujic.

Our midfield was like the battery of our team when we were at our best. They provided so much energy and did an incredible amount of running, both in terms of pressing and carrying the ball up the pitch.

With Keita and Ox being injured so much of the time, they just can't do that as, even when they are available, I don't think they have built up the fitness required to do that. Also Henderson and Milner aren't getting any younger and it is now not uncommon for them to pick up injuries which of course puts more of a burden on the midfielders who are available.

So I think it would be a dream if we could get 2 new midfielders to rev our midfield back up.

{Ed0666's Note - I agree mate 2 midfielders are imperative for me after the edits of ox, keita, Gini and Grujic. Don’t get me wrong I have a lot of love for Gini and Ox but we can’t afford them not being fit for big parts of the season

17 May 2021 22:30:01
Much prefer gravenberch and bissouma.

Keita, ox and wijnaldum out.

Bissouma to challenge straight away and gravenberch to learn his trade. The kids only 18 and unreal.

I didn't meant any disrespect to serie A. But this season has been poor for serie A all around
I mean did you see the refereeing in inter vs juventus. It was horrendous.
As a whole serie A always produces good defenders. This season has been horrible. Serie A has always been close to me since i have a close relation with Italy but quite frankly its been on a massive decline. I do like that juventus failing this season has brightened the top 4 race and inter winning the title after 10 years is a story but that is all there is.
Despite the talent in the league the performances don't reflect anything to suggest otherwise and the refereeing is almost a scandal.
You might disagree ed as you are in the know but as a casual fan watching on TV and talking with my family in italy the league hasn't been doing great for past two three years.

18 May 2021 10:37:15
Ed0666, Bissouma should be one of those two midfielders to come in, mate. He alone, can cover all three positions in central midfield. As for the other midfielder to come in, I have no idea as I have not watched DePaul nor Neuhaus play to have an opinion on them.

{Ed0666's Note - I like nehaus he can do more in the attacking third than bissouma and no slouch defensively, has a pass in him and Scores goals too. I agree with you bissouma is a must and nehaus would be cherry on the cake. But selling ox and keita to accommodate won’t be easy. These are just my wishes tho so probably won’t happen.
