World Cup winning, 20 goal a season attacker, Antoine Griezmann, is not that good? He's an extremely good player and 30 is not that old considering he has never had injury problems and doesn't really rely on any physical attributes such as pace or power.

I'd take him at Liverpool in a heartbeat. Cavani has shown the value there is to be had with recruiting an experienced forward who knows where the net is. Plus, you can't be calling a player who has scored nearly 250 career goals at the highest club/ international level "not that good" without any context. If we're talking about the best players of this generation, sure. He's not "that" good. Let's not pretend he isn't in that top class bracket though.

MK, if he was a free transfer it would be a no brainer as Cavani was. But it’s not, it’s going to be well over £50m fee plus all the other stuff. Then you have to deal with the fact he’s a complete arse too, La Decision was a whole new level of cringe. I don’t see where he’d fit in either, not quick enough to go out wide, not physically imposing enough to be in the middle of a front three, not hardworking enough to be in midfield. And are we honestly saying for the money it would take to buy him we couldn’t find better value around Europe?

The Barcelona bring and buy sales are worth avoiding as there’s no they want shot of worth buying.

Kane is a better player than Griezmann and he's also younger so on paper he's a better signing. I've made it clear i think Kane is world class. I've primarily argued against people saying he will make who ever he joins unbeatable. The only argument i used against us signing him was his contempt towards his team mates as i believe his need to be the centre of everything would affect the harmony in our squad. He's a huge ego whose only ever known being the centre of attention. Griezmann isn't perfect, but he's played in teams where it's not all about him and he's also helped his teams to win trophies. Kane has stolen more goals from team mates than he has medals.

He was good at athletico when everything went through him.
As soon as he got to Barcelona and had better players around him he flopped. He flopped because it was not anymore about him. He was a small fish in bigger pond.

Kane has not always been the centre of attention, he was an unfancied young striker who worked really hard to become what he is.

Theres no doubt Griezmann is a great player. And has shown glimpses of this at barcelona. It's a shame we never bought him from Sociedad when we were linked with him before he joined Atletico. He would be a great signing for liverpool if Mane did go but for how much? Also he would have to take a massive pay cut to join us aswell.

Players that failed to hit previous highs at Barcelona because Messi dominates everything; griezmann, ibrahimovic, turan, alcacar, malcolm, neymar, sanchez, villa and Pedro. In fact, aside from suarez and Henry, I can't think of anyone bought in during messi's rise to prominence and subsequent domination who actually did what they were capable of doing playing alongside him.

I'm not sure if griezmann would be a good signing or not. I don't know if we'd even consider him. But him doing less than he was doing before he arrived puts him in some pretty prestigious company.
